Tbh sources aren't required he's a premier league manager and when results are poor you're under pressure. He's got a win % of 10!! Forget Bruce, forget agendas and the whatabouterys.. That's not going to be good enough to keep any prem league job if it continues.
They are required when someone is saying that he might be gone before the end of the season! If anyone at the club is leaking that sort of info to a journalist then it is amateur and unprofessional and things haven't changed as much as we hoped. If true, it would say a huge amount about the club - and not in a good way!
No, because your opinion doesn't matter and you are clearly expressing an opinion. If you were saying that apparently someone at the club had let out into the public domain that the manager might get sacked, at a time when the club should be supporting him, then yes - then you'd need a source. In that situation you wouldn't be expressing an opinion, you would be passing off as fact that someone had said something that they shouldn't have.
Maybe this thread needs closed. We don’t want him out until he has failed and that might not happen for years. Do Howe in. (But please win use some games)
He was in the radio before which I think was he presser and he said that we could have signed 7-9 players that would sit on the bench or in the stands. That we will only sign players who will improve the first 11.
Okay, what if he was passing off something as a fact that somebody had said but only once on a Tuesday when it was windy and had been on the beach. Would he still need to quote a source?
Notice Eddie back tracked today when asked about relegation release clauses. Said there was no set rule and each transfer would be looked at individually. More sensible approach, wonder why he said the opposite a few weeks ago.
Because his initial opinion was in the best interests of the club and in his view its not a great idea having relegation clauses when you are wanting to sign players who will fight to keep us in the Premier League. However our lack of improvement and the need to sign quality players quickly has meant he has had to backtrack. A source told me that. I am changing my user name to Howeman.
He wasn’t really wrong though. My initial view was that we shouldn’t go for any player who required a relegation clause. I still think we shouldn’t but that’s easy for me to say as my job is not on the line. I would rather pay huge bonuses for staying up.
