Paradise By The Dashboard Light was always the cue for me to be dragged onto the dancefloor and molested by a very keen and forthright young lady who was a bit obsessed with me for some unfathomable reason. This is the nineties mind when I was young and fabulous. To the point where my mates would instinctively clear a space round me and wait as the opening bars played. A real character and a very underrated musician, RIP
Bat out of hell was an album that most squaddies had in the 80s. Bought mine then and still listen to it today. Great singer. RIP Meatlof
RIP - Loved his music. Bet he isn't buried - getting put in the oven for sure! Sorry, I'll get my coat and gloves - oven gloves!
Some great songs all the one mentioned, I really like "Life is a lemon and I want my money back!" Vast majority of the music I listen to was released before I was born and when hear some of the absolute garbage of today and think to myself I bet that isn't around close to 50 years later.
Gutted. Seen him live in Newcastle back in the early 2000s. He sang a song or two that the likes of Boyzone covered. Partnership with Jim was rocky at times, but dear me, what music they made. RIP big man. "His name is Robert Paulson".
Sad news indeed, was on tour with him for a month many moons ago and he was a real gentleman. Took his health serious as well as I seemed to remember having to clean and disinfect everything and even an air purifier had to be installed on his band bus. RIP
What an album that was Bat Out of Hell, it was music and a story, an amazing album, had it on My Radio Cassete alarm clock when I was about 21 as my wake up call. Got that wasted one night slept through the whole album RIP big lad
