Howe is running out of rope vs fast.. Im sure he'll get the season at least, but seriously his selections and failure to address the right areas I find alarming.
This is very true and we would be 20 points better off, bloody Eddie Howe! Reminds me of the Bobby Robson quote - “One day, some team will end a football game scoring more goals than Brazil, and that might be the time Brazil lose.”
I've just noticed he's mentioned Hendrick in his presser.. If we're lucky it'll me shelvey and Hendrick.. I mean ffs when will the penny drop that the CM that's the issue is SHELVEY
He's had Norwich h Brentford h Watford h Cambridge h Eddie howe is doing badly.. Just because people were so hell bent on blaming Bruce they're now making excuses for him. The buck stops with the manager nobody is going to convince me that this group of players should'nt beat any of those sides at home... Watford??? A side that's lost 7 in a row and nufc had only one shot on target via an error from their fullback.. That is absolutely appalling... I don't make excuses for Howe and I didn't for bruce, Mclaren or any of the others.. I'll credit results
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the accounts that start these rumours (that then get picked up on by gullible attention seekers) were created by agents wanting to tour their players. Some of the names that get suggested are so random. As soon as the takeover happened I bet a load of agents started up NUFC news accounts too.
We should flip it,start releasing rumours of who we're interested in and let the vultures swoop in while we sign our real interests out of the spotlight.
I've just seen Lingard in Greggs on Northumberland St.....he tried to get a breakfast baguette after 11am and they refused, ****ing twats ! Welcome to the Toon Jesse ;-)
NUFC - What do you value your player at? Selling Club - £40m NUFC - Here's £20m and we'll give you another £5m when we win the Champions League Selling Club - ............................ NUFC - Hello NUFC - Hello NUFC - Anyone there............. Is ****ing Charnley still pulling some strings behind the scenes here or what?
It's a nice play.. They've told the market not to take the piss.... Now in the last twob weeks clubs will start dropping their bluffs and take the money
Brentford - was his very first game, scored 3 goals, better attacking and conceded some shockers (Darlow under his hands and a Lacselles oggy) - Howe was also out with Covid so really harsh to put that on him in his very first game. Norwich - Clark get's himself sent off after 8 mins! Dug deep and a point won not 2 dropped for me. Again harsh to blame Howe here. Watford - here I'll agree we should have done better and Howe's sub putting Miggy on was a mistake (easy in hindsight) but again my opinion is I could see Howe and the staff trying to push the players up the pitch but they weren't following instructions and a single piece of awful defending on the teams part cost us - Wood terrible hold up play on the half way line, no pressure from the midfield 3 and including Wood beecause he'd dropped in between Longstaff and Joelinton, then Dummy and Miggy get spun to easy by a simple 1-2, Lacselles (was marking King) and Schar (marking Pedro and doesn't even jump) beaten to easy in the air. Only 3 players were not involved in conceding that goal - Murphy and Trippier on the right and Dubs had no chance. On top of that we had Joelinton hit the post, Wood miss a free header, Longstaff with an easy chance he skies on his swinger and then you have Shelvey trying to blast balls from 30 yards... But bar those games - drew with Man U and beat Burnley in a 6 pointer, everything else bar Cambridge has gone exactly as expected, lost to Arsenal Leicester Man C and Liverpool - if we beat Leeds at the weekend I'd say he is doing as well as expected. I expected to beat Watford and we were 10 mins away from doing so bar a ****ing cluster f**k of a 30 second period from 75% of the team but beat Leeds and you can say he's doing as well if not better than expected. Individual errors costing us dearly at present and again another reason a CB and a CB must be the priority in the next 10 days.
Too many players who are not up to standard and who should have been shipped out last summer (at the latest). Some of them should have gone two or three seasons ago and some should never have been bought. I think the point about players not following the manager's instructions is a really valid one, and probably points to quite a few players having given up on proving themselves as they know they are not good enough/no longer good enough to cut it and will be replaced sooner rather than later.
Saw a bit in the Athletic today - last 1st team CB we signed was Fernandez in 2018 FFS! There in lies the issue plain as day. We have 4 CB's who are not fit for purpose with Fede - who is overlooked often being the best of the lot, then Schar and Lacselles on a sub level par and then Clark man!
I'd put Schar in the next level up for ability, but not in our current team. He is no good surrounded by ****e but would do well in a good defence. He isn't who you want as your best defender. He's who you might want as your footballing defender that others protect.
Schar is god awful, a worse defender than Lacselles but better with the ball. Both soooo bad but I guess you could put Schar ahead as he can actually use the ball.
I tried to pull Cheryl Cole once. Needless to say she told me to **** off. Im making a point there but not quite sure what it is.
