We're being linked today with Salzburg's young striker, Benjamin Sesko but nothing advanced as of yet (story of our window).

If he has the potential of anywhere near the likes of his predecessors, Haaland and Daka, then I'm all for it.

We've also been linked with Jordan Veretout of Jose's Roma. Been having a decent career in Italy since flopping hard at Villa, scored a decent amount of goals for both Fiorentina and now Roma.

Barca's confirmed Ousmane Dembele is up for sale.

I wonder if we'll get linked to him between now and the end of the window?

As I've said before, very good player but made of glass. Big financial risk for any interested party.

The Times are linking us to Hull winger Keane Lewis-Potter, because apparently we don't have enough left wingers

I'm going to assume that they don't have a youngster named Berbatov Lewis-Gattuso

Mike McGrath is saying we're considering making a bid for Kessie this month to avoid the contract war in the summer.

Really hope McGrath's solid track record remains intact with this, makes so much sense trying to get him now rather than potentially going up against PSG and others in the summer trying out do them with a more appealing contract, because chances are it'll be very tough to do so.

Maybe there could be something done with Milan's interest in Tanganga?

I'll always remember that we could've got him for chickenfeed, but Paul Mitchell instead suggested we wind up paying three times more for Nkoudou in a saga that took most of the bloody summer window...

A few rumours flying around to go with the Kessie one from earlier. Linked to that potentially is Tanguy getting interest from PSG for a loan, though that might be simple dot-connecting with Poch, who we know liked the player and was the main driving force for bringing him to Spurs (thanks, Mauricio). Both those happening would be great for us, I think.

The other one is regarding Sevilla’s Diego Carlos, who Newcastle were rumoured to be in for. Apparently a London club have made a big offer for him. The Athletic say it’s probably not Arsenal. No idea what he’s like as a player or if it’s us, but with rumours of Rodon and Tanganga perhaps making a temporary or permanent exit this window, there could be something there.

Poch owes us for bringing Ndombele in the first place so it's the least he could do!

As for Diego Carlos, weird one. I've actually seen him play a few times for Sevilla and athletically he's a beast whilst he's semi decent with the ball, not quite as good as Romero but nowhere near as bad as Sanchez but he's a bit of a hot head with a poor disciplinary record. We know Romero is somewhat of a hot head as well and I'm not too sure having two of them in the same back line would be a smart idea. That said, he'd be an upgrade ability-wise on Sanchez, Tanganga and Rodon. I've seen West Ham though as being the interested party, albeit that's unconfirmed so far.

Mail are saying we’ve expressed an interest in Carlos so it could be us as the London club that Hudd was talking about in his post, albeit this could just be the Mail taking a punt which is more than likely.

Telegraph saying we’ve had a £15m bid rejected for Traore - good, stand firm, Wolves!

Lyall Thomas reckons it’s increasingly likely Bergwijn now stays.

Paredes has been mentioned as part of a swap with Ndombele but he doesn’t want to leave PSG to join us.

I just can’t see him being able to handle the PL and playing regularly. He’s much better than Traore but at least Traore isn’t a sicknote.

There was a Dutch journo on Hawksbee and (not) Jacobs this afternoon. He knows the agent for Bergwijn and said that he told him that he doesn't want to leave Spurs. He wants to prove himself here and he and his family love London. Plus, he's just bought a very expensive right hand drive car.

Last night probably means he will stay until the summer, there are at least 3 players I’d rather see leave ahead of Bergwijn this window.

If Bergwijn shows last night was a one off then probably see him leave in the summer.

Lyall Thomas also jumping on what Mike McGrath said earlier about trying to sign Kessie this window.

Can't recall the last time I was so happy to see a tweet.

Poch, I love you man but buying Tanguy then leaving was like farting in a lift at the top of the Burj Khalifa and sending it back down to the ground floor full of passengers. You owe us some fresh air.

Buying Ndombele wasn;t the issue (at the time, anyway...), failing to sign a DM absolutely was

If we signed a DM that summer we wouldn't have opted for certain rhomboid formations of suck, we wouldn't have wound up exposing our FBs to the elements which was especially shortsighted given Aurier was one of them, and likely would've been looking at elective surgery on the squad in the following three or four windows rather than the Frankensteinian hodgepodge we would up having instead

Excellent news if true. He’s more than earned it with his uptick in form. Gives us a bit more time to find a successor too, assuming Gollini isn’t going to make it.
