Firpo and Forshaw injured. Bamford has overcome his muscular injury but now has a foot injury. Bielsa asked about Aaronson, he only wants to talk about players we have, not hypothetical players.
May as well give up on Paddy this season, it's one injury after another, an infected foot would be very painful for weeks until it clears up.
Then he’s got to get up to full fitness, not going to happen until the end of the season. Good for Gelhardt, Roberts and Rodrigo though.
Just watched the interview, very interesting at the end I noticed he said “I’d prefer to speak about him when he is our player”. It could be a lost in translation moment but it sounds like Bielsa is expecting him to sign. Reading reports they’re suggesting a valuation of £30m we’ve offered £15m which was refused and we’re making a second offer today
Dont want to dredge up old painful wounds, but anyone remember our administration and the administrators collusion with Bates or the sheer incompetence of the administrator? Long story short the club was on the verge of being sold then miraculously Bates makes them an offer from Forward Sports Fund (FSF) to write off £19m of debt that they had just discovered as long as Ken Bates was allowed to stay on. Why didnt the administrator realise there was £19m debt outstanding, we all know the outcome was -15 points but the administrator should have been jailed….. With regard to the Aaronson transfer I found something out of left field that may be part of the deciding factor. According to a USA football journalist RBS paid the yanks £6m equivalent. leeds have had a £15m bid rejected and hearing an £18.5m bid has also been knocked back. The yanks are due around 15% of any profit RBS make and are pushing for the deal to be completed in the Summer. BUT….. RBS now realise that by the end of the season Aaronson will have hit all his contractual targets which will mean RBS have to pay another £4m, so are now believed to be trying to negotiate a deal because it will save them £4m as well as make them a tidy profit ?
In € but in regards to the Champions League it’s 10.6m to reach the Q/F and they face Bayern on the 16th Feb. Most would say they have no chance but they might hold out hoping they can do it
