Maybe with a decent defence and full backs who can bomb forward... Howe is thinking that Joe and Willock and maybe Shelvey will have more freedom to support attacks and get forward and contribute more. If Ronaldo played in front of Lascelles he's spend more time covering for JL's mistakes.
Who's actually wanting these players, I can't imagine with Howes track record that he wants Diego Carlos.
I think it’s just a ruse to try and force us to pay more money. Our owners should say that’s our final offer. That’s the deadline. Then if they get no response move on. In some respects I don’t know is the fault. I said at the start of this thread about us making early signings and maybe that was the intention.

They're doing the right thing long term.. Don't yield to demands or that'll tell all other clubs they can take the piss.
I agree but i still maintain they made bad choices in their recruitment and options. We could have gone for sensible players and kept it under wraps and they should have employed proper football people/
Nah, in both pictures it’s likely they hit something. Our lot are getting absolutely ****ing nothing right. Add in Puke Edwards asking for patience and it’s not looking good. I’ll never get over the fact Howe thinks CM is ok. My biggest fear here is that he’s probably thinking of going back to 442, loves Shelvey, probably likes Hayden too, and thinks he can get more out of Longstaff or Willock. Plus Joelinton may work there. That’s five into two spaces. Personally, think the owners will balls up the rest of the window, Howe will take us down and then I don’t know what happens next.
No point in just buying anyone and what would also be over the odds prices. Get the right players or don't bother. If they walk into the market paying over the odds that will be preyed upon forever. Send a message that you can have money if you want or you can **** off.

It is what it is but the clubs trying that's all I care about right now. I'm obviously hoping we stay up, but I don't want them throwing away money that adds up and hinders the long term goal because of FFP.
