I always thought it was £500k, but only from reading other posts.

Me too. I do not think in the grand scheme of things it matters that much as AI and his team will have been well aware of it but I was surprised at the actual figure (if PB’s information is accurate).

We really are fishing in a different pond now.

Great night tonight and a new era for the club begins. Don't know if many of you noticed at the end of the game the number of Turkish fans waiting outside the main reception to greet the new owner(s) They had a huge banner too welcoming Acun, printed in Turkish and in English and something about his dream having come true. There were about 40/50 of them most wearing City shirts, hats and scarves and what impressed me most was their young children, aged under 10 ? also dressed in replica City kits. I stood with them for 15 mins or more as Calum Elder came out and they all rushed to him to have selfies taken with him and he obliged every one of them, which was nice. I left about 20 past 10 and they were all still stood there waiting to see our new owner. It put some of our own to shame.
FFS, why do you want to put a negative slant on here straight away.
Its a weekday night, people are at work or kids at school the next day.
Let us support our club how we want.

Negative ? How is that post negative ? I was pointing out the amount of Turkish people there wearing our clubs colours and still hanging around outside the ground at 20 past 10 at night to greet the new owner. Their commitment does put some people locally to shame who wouldn't cross the road to support their local club. If you see that as a negative that is your problem.

I've not got a problem and we are obviously are poles apart.
You put a great post but spoilt it by your last sentence.
Those Turkish Hull City supporters will have travelled from across the road. Probably Spring Bank, Beverley Road (other roads are available).
Yesterday was all about positivity.
Anyway, we all think differently so let's leave it there.
I don't think either of us wants a pissing competition.

You picked me up on it so don't start that lark. I know the Turks there last night obviously hadn't flown in from Turkey and they may or may not have 'come from Spring Bank'. At least they were there.

Hmmn. The truth .... it was quiet and flat for long periods last night ..... but good at times.
So is every ground, ie even Anfield. The Everton game and last night were the liveliest for some time and great fun. 14K was decent and as many as I expected, we were never going to fill the stadium immediately after the Allams left on a cold January Wednesday night BUT what was evident was the return of some proper vociferous City lads which spread the atmosphere right along East Stand, a tremendous start to the new era and it felt bloody marvellous, a start of a new era of good times that can and will get better, ei ei ei o up the football league we go.

That's nice for them.
You do realise that Turkish fans are far more passionate than us Brits.
Just look at a few of the matches on YouTube for proof.
Just don't know why you would want to put a dampner on a great day.
Full credit to you for staying back but don't critise others who have paid money into the club's coffers.
