But I have lost a lot of friends, I am not allowing people like Farage trivialising probably the most awful public health event that has occurred in our lifetime.. as 17,000 over 2 years..when it was 10x that amount.
Well you do realise you have primary and secondary causes of death on a death certificate? This information is from ONS 17K died from COVID with no other underlying causes. I have now listened to Prof Karol Sikora and he said that if anyone tests positive in the 28 day period and they die from kidney failure… covid goes down on certificate. Sorry Beth but This is what I have been saying for some time.
And I will fight this assumption with every fibre in my body Ellers. Because it is wrong and I detest false information. This is absolutely nothing to do with Boris and his government...he has not now hidden the overall figures. These are his figures. They are essentially right. My colleagues in the NHS had people dying under their care every single shift. All caused by covid...heart attacks from not being able to breathe, secondary pneumonia, renal failure, total organ failure, hemorrhage, strokes... All caused by covid. We have had 150,000 to 170,000 excess deaths. I have no idea why so many people want to deny this.. it is a fact. It is not party politics...by Tories or Labour . It is a fact. Denying these deaths is just insulting to those who have died and who have lost loved ones
Beth, covid being mentioned on the death certificate doesn't always mean death caused by covid. I've always had concerns over the reported number of covid deaths, but I suspect we will never get to the truth.
Beth like you I have lost friends and a family member. Over the time on this thread I have seen some insensitive comments that no one worry’s about but as soon as Ellers mentions something he heard on the news, it’s like blasphemy? I know it’s a sensitive matter and that’s why I will only post legit information. Prof Karol sekora is not Dave from Facebook or any other social media platform. He said tonight, what I posted earlier and the information that Farage was reading was from the ONS. With al respect Beth they wouldn’t say to be shot down.
But to be fair Ellers, i havent seen it but im not going to argue the point either. I suspect theres been a lot of bullshit around this pandemic hence my reluctance to have a booster jab or any more jabs they may start rolling out. The bullshit started on day one with the claim the virus came from a wet market.
Okay here is a fact Col. Mrs Ellers was employed by the government, sent off, trained up to help out with death certificates when they were expecting many many deaths. I asked her about it ( being nosey) and she explained that if you test positive, recover and get hit by a bus and die and it was within 28 days… COVID went on the death certificate.
And how many did that happen to Ellers.. And contrary to that...my friend who is very ill with large cell arteritis, will not be classed as Covid And yes I know about death certificates and causes too both professionally and personally..my mother died of pneumonia and septicemia. She had M.S. and was immobile. That is what caused her pneumonia...but that was due to MS. I am at a loss why it not understandable that a death certificate is a description of your death.... Most people die of heart failure or pneumonia or multisystem failure, caused by something else...cancer, infection, heart disease. Yes a lot of people had underlying disease. The majority of us have an underlying disease...diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, anaemia, autoimmunity...and they will all go on our death certificate . And during this argument just missed Hull going two up vs Blackburn...come on you tigers
I’m not arguing with you Beth. You know I respect you and your knowledge on the subject. Like you, my Mother had a primary and secondary stuff attributed to her death. All I’m saying is the ONS has said that 17k people died of COVID purely with no underlying condition. that is correct I believe. We will just have to leave it there because I don’t want you or me to miss anymore of the game.
Blimey France has had 464k and 436k new cases in last 2 days. Maybe we should close the border to tourists?
We test 5 times more than them and many French don’t even bother so the real figure would be much higher.
