Not at all. I'm as frustrated as anyone that we are so profligate but I truly believe that Kenny and Steve will be trying to work upon that. I was begging for the Bellamy Kuyt Suarez front line for the last match. I think there's lots of goals there - potentially.

As for Carroll. Forget the price tag. I truly believe that Kenny was always planning to bring him on late in the game when the Norwich defenders had been run ragged. I think he put Agger on so that Gerrard could move further forward. It wasn't a bad idea.

We are still trying to bed a new squad in. It's Kenny's job to see that he does that successfully.

    Yeah.

There is another way of looking at this.

united bt Arsenal 8-2, citeh bt united 1-6, so citeh are due a bashing.

    From us.

Of course we can beat them, whether we do is a different matter. At the moment their best is better than ours, but we all know strange things happen in football.
    I'm looking forward to it.

The problem is Carroll would have benefited from the early fresh pace of the team going forward, Kenny always brings him on after everyone is tired and he gets no bloody service. If Carroll was on from the start, I'm sure he'd have bagged one in the first half.

I think everyone is forgetting that gerrard and suarez have had hardly any time on the pitch together - when they click things will improve greatly in my opinion

    Of course you can lads.

Dont let City scare you, teams are 'scared' of Barcelona and that helps make things so easy for them. Its was a similar story for United at one point and no doubt yourselves further back.

I would also advise not having a player sent off.

We've all experienced that - sometimes deserved/sometimes not.

on a ONE OFF DAY? come on just cos utd massed up royally doesn't mean city are unbeatable and to be honest they have to put just as much work rate in as anyone else so I think we can beat them on the day.

If the question was over the course of a year then the answer is no.

They were second best until the red card. We can definitely beat them.

That result was just a freak result, they didn't even play that well, I watched the whole game and they were lucky that Man Utd had given up by 4-1.

We would all rather get a freak result like the 6-1 Utd suffered than get results like we did against Norwich throughout the whole season.

If they play they promote all the Under 18's to senior level and give 'em a crack against us then I guess we could give it a punt..

If Fulham can hold them at Eastlands, and keep 56% possession whilst they do it, then yes you can definitely beat them.

Besides, Liverpool generally do great against the top four clubs. Didn't you do them 3-0 at home last season?

They are not suddenly unbeatable - did anyone see them midweek? They were dreadful - granted they were awesome yesterday and we all enjoyed watching them punish utd but it doesn't mean they will play like that week in week out.

Makes you wonder if it was a freak result when you consider how **** citeh have been in Europe.

Begging the question how **** united are really. I'd say they've been found out to be the frauds they really are.

Yeah, we should be more concerned if we can beat the likes of Norwich. We can. Problem is, we don't when we should.

Well, we'll soon see what happens v citeh.

That in bold is bollocks Wishi - I don't think you will even find a Liverpool fan who agrees with you that United have been found out to be frauds.

It was one game, disappointing for us United fans but some people are trying to make it out to be alot more than it really is. United have been poor for a few weeks now but I'm sure we will get our form back and challenge for the title again

To be fair Eric, I think you will find a number of Liverpool fans who were saying that your midfield was porous and that your defence was not as good as you(United fans) thought it was. Whilst i might not go as far as using the term fraud Wishi does (and she is a lady of firm views).

Sure you will find some form, I don't doubt that. But how may opposition forward players are now going to be thinking I take take him? How many teams are going to start thinking we can win this? If they do then it'll prove even harder for United>

United fans know how poor our central midfield is, it isn't really a secret to anyone - it still hardly makes us 'frauds'.

As for our defence, we haven't had a settled defence all year due to injuries, when our defenders are fit I don't think there are many better defences in the league than ours but it's all about opinions.

In regards to other teams fancying it, I hope they do - as soon as teams start opening up against us thats when we do our damage. I honestly find it bewildering that everyone is so ready to write us off. This is the same team that was battering teams at the begining of the season. It's all about form but some opposing fans are so desperate for this to be more.

Back on topic City were brilliant yesterday but can Liverpool beat them ? Of course they can, lets not start thinking City are something they aren't. They were on good form yesterday , we were in poor form yesterday - it hardly makes them untouchable and I actually expect you to beat them when you play them at Anfield.

    Eric
United are a good team and cretainly not frauds, and doubtless it'll be a long time before you find yourselves on the wrong end of a scoreline like saturdays again. However, some of us have pointed out frailties in your set-up before which have just been dismissed as us having a go.
After the CL final in particular, a number of our fans attempted an objective (as far as we can be ) analysis of the game only to be shouted down from your side and told we would do far worse.
Given the intense rivalry between us we are admittedly going to look at your defeats with a certain amount of glee but that doesn't mean the points made are invalid. It's no different than our assessment of our own recent failings.

Even then some people were pointing out how poor your defence/centre mid was and how you have been allowing teams too many chances.
