I was listening to Radio 2, this afternoon, and the debate was about the licence fee.

One caller claimed the BBC is full of 'leftie luvvies' ...

... the next caller said it was biased to the right <laugh>

If he's lied to parliament, he should.

That doesn't mean he has or he will though.

I always remember Question time when the topic was Brexit, they would have 5 remainders and 1 80 yr old granny doing her knitting as the Brexiteer. Of course it isn’t bias<laugh>

That is because the BBC is impartial. The left think it's for the right and the right think it's for the left. Which is exactly how it should be. Bonko thinks it should be like China and North Korea and only broadcast his propaganda, (the Bonko Bullshitting Corporation).

Politicians lie to voters all the time and get away with it. Not that they should. Lying to parliament is irresistible bang to rights resignation territory.

    You make
Yep, the left thinks its biased right, the right thinks its biased left...or something like that.

The attack atm is about appeasing Bonko's supporters so he might not have to resign/get kicked out.

Notwithstanding all that, with the high cost of subscription to Sky and the cheaper subscription to Netflix etc.. technology moves on... the BBC license fee is about a subscription cost etc it is to everyone.
    Some adjustment is due.

I think Boris is a great character, compared to the likes of Major and Cameron he is breath of fresh air. As a PM he needs to clear all this controversy and lead as is expected or hand over the reins.

Wow. I’m far from being a Tory supporter but Boris doesn’t deserve to wipe Major’s arse. A dull but honourable man compared to a corrupt charlatan.

Seen this car crash of an interview ?
    https://apple.news/Ajii-Dq_CS-WZ5pB9KDFXvA

on the media - I read the Telegraph/ Torygraph for balance so generally respect the quality of the paper if not the belief system , but their attempts at deflecting attention from Boris onto Starmer over the last two days cheapens them. The prime minister, his wife, the health minister, Cummings, all total disrespect of their own policy.

Firstly I dont suppose Boris would want to wipe Majors arse, I was comparing the characters of Johnson Major and Cameron. Not how honourable they maybe. I hope that makes it more clear.

Aye that’s clearer. He does have charisma. It’s a car crash of a country though sadly. Much much worse under him and its not just Covid. There’s a bit of karma going on here for his lies to get elected at any cost.

Yes, Radio 4 programming is excellent. Extraordinarily diverse and very high quality. It would make the country a poorer place to lose that. I definitely agree that we need a more balanced, objective media. Or at least one that is more obviously neutral.
I can't say I can see any evidence of 'rightening' the narrative though, either in the school curriculum or in the media. Although perhaps that's a subjective view too. I consider myself to be fairly Liberal minded but it seems to me that quite left wing views are heavily promoted. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I think he’s been a spoilt rich kid, that’s grown up full of his own self importance. He’s a calculating bloke and plays up to the buffoon role as he knows sections of the public lap it up. I don’t think the history books will be kind to his reign as PM.

If he's a 'character' with charisma then the public deserves whatever they get ...

... he sickens me tbh, not how I see our great country.

Its probably true that all politicians are well versed in not telling the truth... BUT Bonko for a British Politician seems to have taken telling lies to another level.

He has never been any different, an earlier post of mine highlighted an end of term/letter from his teacher to his father... basically saying his son and integrity were not close. The idea that a man's word is his bond is alien to Bonko..

Hia sister when he became PM said it would all end in tears, because of his Bonkoish.

His defenders claim his bumbling chaotic behaviour is all a calculated act ...

... I personally don't believe there's much acting involved tbh.
