Burns tweeted the thing about the 6 weeks, that had nothing to do with the interview posted.

 

Two weeks ago last Wednesday was whispered! It's constantly moving and will be done when it's done. Guesswork is pointless and just serves to get hopes up only to have them dashed.

The interview doesn't mention 6 weeks, it was posted as it was an insight from a lawyer who has dealt with takeovers before. He offered no timeframe for City's takeover to be finalised.

Earlier in the day Burns did a tweet about Grimsby taking 6 weeks.

No, again it served to give people an insight into the complexities in takeover approvals and an explanation for why this wasn't done in the 48 hours some believed it would be.

If it didn't interest you that's fine but the lawyer wasn't talking out of his ass and it was a worthwhile listen for those wondering why it's taking so long.

I'm in KFA club and quite happy for others to do the worrying.

I'd have next to zero faith in this contingency list happening in practice! A good test of this will be whether or not the signing McCann is wanting for today or tomorrow appears.

 

I suspect it'll be different targets to the ones he's had down the training ground if it goes through with time left on the window.
