The minute we drop into the championship the whole dynamics change. How FFP affects that I don’t know. But what a lot of people don’t really factor in is that dropping to the championship has a monumental impact on our ability to increase commercial income. Because we won’t be in the premier league. And it’s that commercial impact what people don’t seem to realise will affect our ability in the future to buy players under current FFP rules.
Pay the ****ing money fs https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/01/18/newcastle-united-atalanta-duvan-zapata/
We just don’t need this. It’s ****ing irrelevant purchase. We have Wilson back in less than a month. Howe is scaring me with how short sighted he is. I knew he wouldn’t be great, but this is another level.
A lot depends on whether the club have already accepted relegation or not. If they haven't then our needs are all short-term. If they have accepted it then they should be building a squad that can both get us out of the championship (like Rafa did) and also be a building block for future development (like Rafa didn't do!)
I tend to agree with you and if he does come back it may be too late, need some one who can score goals now fs I can't take another draw.
As was said above, it’s significantly easier to build from the PL than from the Champ. They should be doing absolutely ****ing everything to stay up. This faffing and faffing is a ****ing disgrace. To follow up Trippier with a ****ing cart horse like Wood is shocking, Don’t get me wrong, it’s 90% Ashley’s fault, but I’m astonished with the dreadful performance from Howe and probably Nickson.
