Started True Story last night - Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes. Liked the 1st episode so see how that goes!
Just watched the pilot episode of “ This is us “ Absolutely loved it but a little annoyed that they only made 18 episodes. Actually scratch that apparently there are 6 seasons, I’m useless doh lol
Hidden Assets which started on BBC4 tonight seems pretty good. Think I will binge watch the rest on iplayer.
Seems as though it finished leaving the possibility for another series with the female detective perhaps linking up with the one in Antwerp again.
Yes, I finished it last night. I thought the end was compromised too much with a new series likely. Disappointed.
I watched it against my better judgement, as I really don't like Gervais, and while there were a few good bits, I found it overused the vulgar aspect with no real comedy effect, and bordered on mawkish and maudlin for the rest. The dead wife character dragged it up, but it's a no from me. It was just another vehicle for Gervais to be 'outrageous' and say things he'd never dare say to people in real life, but trying to portray himself as a nice guy at heart, with a smattering of weak philosophy thrown in to try to look intelligent.
I like to think i've got a decent sense of humour and that's why I don't get all the hype about Gervais. I just don't find him funny anymore, as if he's had his time.
I finally got round to watching Pebble And The Boy last night, thought it was very mediocre, the only real highlight being a cameo from Mani of the Stone Roses wearing one of my tee-shirts. The soundtrack's good though and the main girl (from Corrie) was decent in it. I woke up early this morning and decided to watch The Gentlemen. It's typical Guy Richie and as I like his stuff, I enjoyed it. It's a great cast and though it's a typically Richie over the top story, some of the action scenes are great (particularly those with Colin Farrell).
