Apart from the small detail that we replaced Bale with Son Why do Spurs fans insist on parroting crap that other fans say about us?
CalcioMercato claim that Cagliari are willing to sell Nahitian Nandez for €20m this month - which is almost half what Cagliari were demanding for him when we made enquiries in the summer - and are also willing to accept a €2m loan fee with an obligation to buy Now here's where this gets interesting: in the summer when we were linked he was obviously to steel the midfield three as Nandez can be described as a defence-minded Hojbjerg yet, at present, a No6 is less of a priority than a No8 which is usually reason to look elsewhere - yet this season Cagliari have regularly played 3ATB with Nandez often playing as a RWB, meaning that Nandez could be a useful utility player due to being able to play a couple of positions in our team ...oh, and he's currently out with Covid, which means we can test to see if being linked with one player with Covid is reason to postpone our matches now
I was joking. But if you wanna be pedantic then how did Spurs replace Bale with Son when Bale left in 2013 and Son signed in 2015?
Simple: because of the two players expected to replace Bale, Lamela ended up being an upgrade on Aaron Lennon while Townsend ended up replacing the guy who shoots pigeons at Gatwick Airport The real question, of course, is with half the season gone why haven't talkBALLS said that Man Utd signed Cristiano Ronaldo to replace Cristiano Ronaldo...
Ally Gold says as of right now we’re not one of the teams going for Eriksen. He doesn’t really go into much detail about any specific targets other than Traore, Kessie and Vlahovic, the latter two unlikely for this window. This. ****ing. Club. I’ve seen on Twitter some Brentford and Brighton fans talking about Eriksen plus the odd Toon one. Assuming he could eventually play 90 mins or a substantial amount of time, him under Potter could be quite intriguing to watch. It’s a lot of “ifs” but if they got him as well as a striker capable of putting away significant chances, Brighton could be a serious problem for top half teams.
11 months ago we severely damaged ourselves by refusing to recognise that JM needed to be sacked, a temporary manager appointed and starting a search for a permanent manager. 9 months ago we monumentally screwed up by joining the ESL. 9 months ago we bollocksed up a chance to win a cup final by sacking JM and giving a complete novice a whole 2days to manage his first ever game and a whole 6 days to prepare for the cup final...against the best team in England. We then embarked on a shambolic 11 week search for a manager, causing us to have no idea who we should sell or buy. 7 months ago we employed a completely unsuitable manager. We then issued statements about delivering attacking football. 2 and a half months ago we sacked the manager because of the compete lack of attacking football. 16 day ago the transfer window opened and we're in a weaker position squad wise cos of Son's injury. Lo Celso, Dele, Ndombele, Clarke and Doherty are all still with us. This was all preventable. Will be interesting how the club try to spin yet another terrible transfer window (if it happens...and it ain't looking promising) or if Conte walks (if that happens but it wouldn't be a huge shock for me).
I think it's all made worse by the postponements and international breaks. It's like giving up an addiction I am slowly being weaned off Spurs. I think the club badly needs some good transfer news because I don't think I am alone in these feelings.
I do agree...for me personally it is made worse vos I ain't been for nearly 2 years and I loved going!
It will be worse for you because it's years since I have been to see Spurs but it's still part of life to watch the game every week which leaves a hole when it's not there. Especially if your head is full of 'business' stuff or you are just trying to relax after a tough week. Sport is a vital part of good mental health for many of us. Although being a Spurs fan makes my last statement look stupid
Football wise that's very true butI miss taking my girls and really miss being surrounded by mo fos like you
Understandable, I am amazing, everyone wants to be in close proximity to me just to feel my immense aura. I've even attracted a crazy drunk woman the last few league games, she's taken the liberty of smacking me on the back of my head and then giving me a hug as she stands behind me... had never met her before but I think she feels like we've known each other for a while. She said to me how drunk she was on one of the games, said to her I gathered that seeing as one of her eyes was looking at me and another was wondering around at someone in the east stand, took about 3 seconds for it to reach her brain before she found it funny. She's fit though so it's all good. Debating whether to chat her up or not, if I do then it's more or less guaranteed that in 6-12 months time she'll have ruined my life but then I'm all here for the drama and it'd make for good stories in the future with my mates.
Romano's saying next week will be an important week for us... I mean you'd like to think so, there's only two weeks left!
Bergwijn leaving and then using that money plus more for Adama Traore is all I see happening for the rest of the window The club don’t seem to be worried about CM which for me will cost any chance of top 4
