I noticed you mentioned LMA Manager... was it the 2007 version? I dug it out the other week and really enjoyed playing it! ...

 

I love LMA manager 2007! (last one they did which was a shame) Also dig it out every now and then & have another go. The Toon are awesome on the 2007.

On FM12 got a bargain, sold Shola for £3M to Southampton & got Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink on a free(keep fat Mike happy on shirt sales), yeah he's older than Shola but better target man and good back up to Ba, he's got 7 in 10 games for me so far. Also got Pieters for £2.1M.

 

Liverpool have just made a bid for Cabaye for 11 million on mine, and there persistant they just keep making new bids

Got rid of Alan Smith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonders never cease!

....its even worth paying the greedy c*nt £11,000 a week to get his £60k off the wage bill.

I think everyone who has the game will be aware that D Sturridge on loan is the logical move of the game thus far....

Took a punt on Maniche on a free transfer, not bad cover for £10k a week..........also got in Gary Cahill & Gab Agbonlahor

 

How did you manage getting rid of Smith?! I've tried everything!

Sturridge has been amazing for me, hoping to sign him on permanent deal at the end of the season.

I signed Diame from Wigan and he was canny good as cover for Dreamboat and Animal.

 

Does anyone know how to continue a demo game on the full version?

 

Got the game yesterday. Installed it on my Imac and it works a dream. I find navigating the screens a lot better than FM11. Not a huge amount of changes from FM11 but i think what they have changed is an improvement.

Newcastle have a pretty decent team to start with. You get an 8mil transfer budget for a mid table finish prediction.

Like most people i've nabbed Sturridge on Loan. Also had a punt on Maniche on a free and has done a job when called upon. Managed to get rid of Alan Smith to QPR, they wouldn't stump up his ridiculous wage bill so i am paying 20k a week wages for him for the next year but glad to have rid of him. Snapped up Yaya Sanogo for 3.5mil hoping he will become the goal scoring machine that he was in FM11!

Given Sammy a run out in the first team for a few friendly and he got a goal in a 3-0 win at Carlisle!

 

Just offered him around for £500k.

Shola, Williamson, Perch & Guthrie will be gone come January. Obertan will join em next season after his loan.

Just bought Vertonghen from Ajax Centre Back. Other players to take note Vrsaljko Right Back (£3mil), Leandro Damiao FW (£20m), Papadopolis CB (£quite a bit).

Plus a shedload of Brazilian wonderkids to take ur pick over. Theres loads! (as per usual on FM)

 

****ing Steam ****! "the game is currently unavailable, please try another time" just been on steam forum apparently loads of people with the same problem. Anyone else having this problem?

 

Into my 4th season on it now. First one finished 4th somehow i don't know. Second 5th and europa league third 5th with europa league. Built team on cheap transfer listed guys. Team is;

Carizo (free)
Santon Coloccini Skrtel (5.5m) Pieters (5m)
Cabaye Gago(free)
Gerivho (5.5m) Pedro (6.5m) Coentrao (10m)
Niang (5m)

Subs are decent. Kadlec is awesome as is sanogo. Sanogo i got for free. Also get young lad from inter cristeig on a free too. Cabaye is captain and has been poty 3 years in a row

 

3 games into my first season, won all three plus a 5-0 away win against Swindon in the cup.

Cabaye is ****ing immense, he's already got 4 goals and numerous assists. Ben Arfa still out so I've started Vuckic in AM in the three league games, and he's got himself 2 goals. Stevie Taylor's also got himself a few goals, I've got Cabaye sending corners to him at the near post and he's always a threat.

Ba is looking good, got Sturridge on loan but he's been banned for a few games so only featured as a sub in my last game. Also got El Hadji Diouf on a free (), but only as cover, and Figueroa who is actually decent on FM.

 

What tactics you use for Toon? I'm having bit of trouble mostly down to the **** wingers who do **** with the ball.

 

Just finished my 2nd season. Won the FA Cup and finished 4th.

Players of note: Kyle Walker was in the Spurs reserves for some reason, snapped him up for £5mil. Cracking signing.
After a years loan signed Sturridge up permanently for £2.9mil. Bargain. Won Young player of the year and got 20 goals last season.
Jan Vertonghen cost me £9mil in my first season. Pure solid centre back.
Leandro Damaio cost me about £20mil but finished top scorer with 24 and is absolutely sh*t hot.
Bought a midfielder of the name Kwadwo Asamoah. Can play through the middle or on the left (that where I play him). Cracking signing. Ratings are class.
Bought a new keeper. Brazilian lad Rafael. Will cost u £13mil but he is class.
Also brought in Dede Brazilian CB, Diego Renan Full back, just bought Leandro for £9mil looks awesome.

I stick to a simple 4-4-2, altho may change based on my players this year. Looking forward to taking on the Champions League and going for the title.

Just finished my first season, finished 5th and lost the FA cup final to Bolton .

Cabaye has just been sold to Inter over my head aswell.

 

Unlucky, but to be honest he starts to drop after a couple of seasons. Well he did with me. 1st season class. 2nd average. On the bench for me now.

 

He has been my POTY all my 3 seasons. Gets tonnes of assists. Probably because he is on corners tbf. Tiote's passing is up to 16 on mine! V good now

 

Got it over the weekend and have only just started playing it, so far my best player by far is shola, has made some goal saving clearances and is banging them in for fun

 

How did you manage that lot with £8Mill to spend first season?
