Match Day Thread West Ham v Leeds Utd Match Thread

No reason why we can’t win this, we did OK last week with a weekend team.
Just hope the ref and VAR don’t **** it up again.

 

They played midweek too.

Hopefully we will be a bit stronger. They will be a bit more tired.

 

Sorry but I don't buy into that, players have always played every 3 or 4 days.
Watford played today then play Tuesday and Friday, fair play to them not crying sicknote like Arsenal.

 

With GPS tracking now common in matches it has been found that although distance covered by players remains much the same after a team has played midweek the amount of sprints or high intensity running drops.

Then there are the little niggles and bumps and bruises which make you stiff for a few days.

All I'm saying is that hopefully they carry a few niggles and they won't run as hard. It certainly helped us against Burnley who had played midweek when we didn't. Their energy fell off the edge of a cliff after 70 minutes.

 

Apparently the Bamford wife having baby isn't the reason he didn't travel, having an x-ray on his quad on Monday, out for at least another week.

 

That's Bamford for you once injured takes forever to get fit again.

Anything can happen Jammy. My head says no, my heart says a draw wouldn't be bad. But we've two anti Leeds Utd officials so we are up against them as well as a well organised southern team.

Hard game. but a big 3 points for us. win it we get right back in with the Brentford's,Villa's,Southampton's,Palace's of this world.
Are we going to be a bottom 6 team for the rest of the season and keep looking over our back? or are we wanting to get back into this middle pack?. We need to see some back to back wins if we do. I'm not afraid of Wet Spam but they defo are fav's though. Taking 3 points today would continue to take any pressure off us and keep us a healthy gap from the championship slots.
