Can we add to the increasing "convenience of Covid" list none other than tennis No.1 Djokavic? Normally it's unlucky to get Covid, but for one of the world's most prominent anti-vaxers he claims to have had Covid, which apparently means he doesn't have to have a vaccine and still gets to go to Australia to play. Unlucky to get Covid? Well not only does it get him past the Australian immigration rules but luckily he doesn't seem to have had any symptoms whatsoever. Indeed he was pictured immediately after his "positive test" out and about doing his normal commitments, and never wearing a mask. So as dodgy as the convenience of this test was, he certainly didn't do any self-isolation. To me, a lot of this is more than enough to deny entry to Australia, because all that will happen as a result is more of the 'one rule for them another for us' feeling, plus it strengthens the anti-vaxers position.

England have a chance (for a change) Stokes & Root hopefully to take the fight to the Aussies.

Ahem , have you not been watching for the last 6 weeks , this is the weakest England batting side I have seen in my 50 plus years of watching England test cricket

Root was out to an unplayable ball.
So were the rest. They can't play.

England were due to stay for days 4 & 5 of this Test so I can't see their flights being booked for earlier than Wednesday, whereas Novak might be cajoled gently nudged on to the next available flight
