I've read the newspaper reports on the game and the only one I saw that took a sensible view was this one; http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/early-doors/article/353358/ Alot of journo's seem to be forgetting that we are the same side that turned City over in August. Yes, they have added Ageuro and Nasri but we have had a patchy back four since the start of the season and suffered injuries to all our defenders, except maybe Evra. After the blistering start, our standard of play dropped yet we have continued to gain points and come through some of the biggest clashes (Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool). At half time yesterday, I was still confident that we would turn it around. We had a good first half and looked lively. Chasing the game with 10 men played perfectly into Citys tactical approach - but has everyone forgotten that they were trying to run the clock down and time waste constantly between the 80th and 90th minute!? The journo's have been saying for 3 seasons that City are better but we kept beating them and winning games (except the FA Cup semi of course). If City has won 1-0 yesterday they would still be falling off their chairs to write sensational stories. They played well and deserve the credit. Let's see how they progress from here. I'm actually looking forward to the response from our side. There is no better motivation for us now. Our new players and young players will become embittered, battle hardened and more experienced because of it. City are a genuine contender and it is up to them to rise to the challenge. Game on.
