“I think the big difference with Caleb that people might see if he’s around a little bit longer, not only is he a very big specimen, he’s very athletic as well and he gets on the shoulders of center backs, he can get in behind players, he can threaten with his pace and power.”

Are there two Caleb Folan's? :emoticon-0105-wink:

Main thing with him is he looks like he should be, but consistenly has he ever performed? And we know the answers. Maybe over there defenders aren't as quick or physical, so he may be better. I am sure Juan Pablo Angel is still strutting his stuff over there so there is still hope for him!

He had a fair bit of bad luck, I reckon half the problems are in his head maybe a change of scene and a clean slate will be just the job. Either way, good luck to him but best all round if he moves on.

Deano said on the radio last week that he just hasn't got the heart (not sure whether Kaspars Gorkss knocked it out of him) and that after the opening day game against Chelsea people were claiming he looked like a £10m striker.

No heart or bottle!!!! Folan is the only forward we have who will put his foot into a tackle....did you not go to Barnsley and see the heart and bottle of Folan when he saw the game out though he could hardly walk and has been out for 4 months because of it !!... Whereas Barmby walked off the pitch after 15 mins only to play the next game!!who had the heart then???...let's kill this myth of heart or bottle..it is just an easy platitude you have read somewhere else...I know who the onanist is!

Tigga - You reckon he would of stayed on if we hadnt used all three subs in that match?

I heard somewhere that he is on £16k pw, would rather spend that elsewhere

The Rapids fans are saying that Caleb will have to put a bit more effort in if he is to secure a contract. Also his wage demands would put them over the salary cap. A figure of 350K (USD)has been bandied about but the Rapids can only afford about 225K(USD). Sounds like Caleb got a years extension so he will be in no hurry to leave if he is on 16K (quid) per week.
