Was that the one that bounced up in the air and instead of deciding maybe should control then and pass the ball again, taki decided to take a left footed swing at a volley that ballooned up in the air <laugh>

    Quality all round that one.

Yep. Couldn't believe what I was watching. I'm guessing they were trying to recreate the VVD x Origi goal vs Everton.

I could never understand why Gerrard took so many corners, he was awful at them and would have been so much more useful in the box... And all those bloody short corners that achieved nothing other than tie up an extra man at the corner flag instead of in a threatening position.

That was the dark ages for us, corner wise.

Im not sure what the point of this is? Player that’s not as good as Gerrard has a bad game.

Why even our Gerrard into this conversation, not one person is ever comparing Hendo to gerrard and saying he’s a better player.

Ignore the comment. Watch the video - we're paying this guy £200k a week. It's a good laugh to be fair

Get a clip of Salah in the Leicester game and could say the exact same thing. Everyone has poor games.

I said something similar last night in response to the inevitable outpouring of nonsense from Diego. We always struggle in that type of game, even with Salah and Mané.
There were a couple of moments when Arsenal ventured forward and we might have had a breakaway, but it was one of those games where we just plug away and sometimes it falls into place and sometimes it doesn't.
Almost everyone was on the spectrum of poor to dismal last night.
    It happens.
I understand disappointment and frustration, but I don't see the point of taking it as a personal affront.

For what my opinion's worth (diddly squat here). if we're not even going to bother to shoot at goal i don't see why we should even bother getting on the coach and getting into our kit. Arsenal did what they had to do, but considering we had senior players on the pitch the fact we couldn't get past their defence wasn't great. i'm tired of the same old excuse of 'they raise their game when they play us' and 'well we didn't have Salah or Mane'. If Salah goes and we can't manage then God help us.

Oh Wishi - I am as negative as the next pessimist but when ten men defend like that - it is hard to break them down
Personally I always thought long shots were the way forward but they need to be on target
Mini missed a sitter and even though they went wide we created enough to win
We lose our fear factor from the oppo when those two don’t play
Strangely I now think we have more of a chance against Brentford tomorrow than we did against them in the home leg
Could do with a Thiago fully fit and on the ball but..

    all is not lost yet
Still in 3 cups and in race for top four and could get back into title race

Imo its about quick play irrespective of bus parking or otherwise

If everyone needs 3 touches and to look about and back pass really slow then there's no possibility of a shot.

We seem to not want to run, no forward peels out wide showing in a channel to receive a ball. Never see it we seem to want robertsons stood stock still in a winger sort of position before we will pass it out and then all he will ever do is back pass.

Trent seeks to think he is God's gift and won't really over lap much.

We desperately need to play higher tempo and pass first time. However we seem to only want to knock it about dangerously in our own half and then if we don't actually lose it and cough up a chance we get up to whoever is back to goal and they pass it back.

Arsenal loaned out another player despite apparently not having enough players to play games. That’s 3 in the window they’ve loaned so far <laugh>

Arsenal should basically be made keep 4 or 5 senior players out of squad as all thats going to happen is this game is going to be pushed out to the point where our brazilan players have to report for international duty

as far as i figure it

    xhaka suspended
Tomisyasu - calf in jury - supposedly was going to be back
Smith rowe- groin injury. again seemingly not bad enough to not be on a bench
Odegaard - Covid - not reuled out of our game
soares - groin injury - unknown if he would be back
saka - some sort of knock but nobody knows
    chambers "knock" (aka bullshit)
    Partey - ACON
    Elneny ACON
    Pepe - ACON
Kolasinac - thigh injury originally, now a tight hamstring
Aubameyang -a falling out nobody has a clue but was ACON but sent home.

So they've not said all their keepers have covid.

If we look at thier last line up against is

    Ramsdale
? (send niles on loan) white gabriel Teirney
    Saka? sambi ? Martinelli
    Nketiah Lacazette

bench: Tavares, holding, Leno, Chambers? Mari (sent on laon) Beireth m/hand, patino, hutchison

so as far as i can see it theres 13 players plus a keeper there.

they'd have to outline how many are out for covid.

As far as i can tell even if saka, chambers, smith-rowe and soares were all out for thier "knocks" they would still have enough to fulfil fixture.

So really its up to them to show who's been out for longer than the self isolation requirements with covid.
