If you read stuff on here, we have a new owner, new named Dof, new named Manager all in time for the Birmingham game. The new players have agreed and will be with us as soon as the transfer window opens.

How about everyone stops guessing, speculating, passing on rumours and making things up. Lets wait and see what happens.

Maybe but they didn't have clean water on tap and that magic electricity thingy.

    Take a break.

Plenty of clubs are making moves now, and we have just lost two forwards - one to an 8 week injury and another to a League One club. Now is the time to replace them, not in two weeks.

Literally thousands? So why was it something many/all expected done in two days? If it's something that Acun has been in constant dialogue with the EFL on, why were many of these documents not provided ahead of time when they could? Why does the EFL need to check thousands of documents?

With respect, don't spin this onto me as if I should quite obviously expect it to take weeks because of the volume of documents to be checked when you and others have regularly said how quickly it should be ticked off once in the hands of the EFL.

The 48 hours has been coming from Baz hasn't it?

Maybe that's the quickest theoretical timescale if everything is perfect as far as submission is concerned?

I think Wigan took 15 days to ratify - but having professional administrators handling the sale maybe made it smoother. I dunno.

There's been a few around the place quoting the 48 hours and/or giving timescales of their own that have now passed..

It just seems quite strange for a relatively smooth sale (incoming owner in dialogue with the EFL ahead of time, checks a formality etc.) could still take so long. Proof of funds (according to Baz and others) had been provided and ticked off by the EFL ahead of time, so if they know he has the funds, have done the owners & directors test (which they should have been able to do while the final details of the sale were wrapped up) I really don't understand what thousands of documents they'd be looking at?

Who replaces them? Who pays for it? ( Obviously all comes out the club's accounts but the allams won't want to be left with big fees and wages if it all goes Pete tong) Who's target list do they come from as they are hugely different lists. We ( the fans ) want signings asap but we have to be realistic as to when they can happen ATM

I think we're saying the same thing here, that is, that the takeover needs to go through ASAP to get moving on replacements.

Now reality is hitting home, the things some have been saying for months and taking flak for saying it. No matter how small the chances of it going wrong, the deal is not done until it's a done deal.

Well if 24 hours was about 7 years for the Allams to sell, then 48 hours should be around 2036?

    Not the time!

Based on this seasons performances I would say we've lost one!

Eaves would be starting ahead of Josh against Stoke anyway and Wilks is no great loss given his form.

Theres space in the squad now for a free transfer even without the sale. Maybe there's is one waiting in the wings that both parties would agree to sign if the worst happens and its delayed?
Must admit though, I'll be panicking a bit if it doesn't go through next week.

Hull was a "new" city. Originally Cottingham was larger than Hull.

Hull started life as a wooden jetty in the 14th century. The monks of meaux farmed sheep on land near to the humber and built said jetty to sell their wool to a larger customer base. From these beginnings a city of over 300,000 souls has developed, who’s to say it couldn’t get to a million in the next 6 or 7 centuries lol…

Spoke to Johnny Whiteley a few times when he used to go in the Well at City and he was recognised by a lad who went to FC as well. Absolute top bloke and a proper gentleman who was a credit to himself and his sport.

Well, when I have been there they had those things in the parts I went to. If you go back a day or so it wasn't me who brought Norwich up.

He was on the table next me at Tomahawk in Beverley just before Christmas, having his 90th birthday party with his family (he's actually 91, so I assume it was to make up for the 90th party he missed during lockdown).
