Haha! Well, I challenge you, Westy - to produce the evidence!
If you care to scrutinise, you will see that I was always very specific about each successive rumour; i.e. my promise to eat my hat during a convenient meeting of BRDC members, was always in response to specific rumours, which mooted that he would be back "in 2009"/"in 2010"/"next year" etc. (please bear in mind the time of writing). My responses were similarly specific; i.e. that I would eat my hat if he were to reappear
"in 2009"/"in 2010"/"next year" etc. (please bear in mind the time of writing).

Have a look. I wrote these things in more than half a dozen fora around the world, and my words were sincere. (I love my hat!) :)

P.S. My hat would have been on the menu (probably as Homburgers) which may have included optional side-orders of baked beans. However, Beanz cannot mean Heinz at the BRDC ;)

I'd quite like to see Raikkonen back on the grid, I quite enjoyed his none existent style. Used to just quietly get the job done with no fuss <ok>

Damn you Heinz and your love of the specifics!

EDIT - Technically, if he signs the contract in 2011 does that count as being this year!?!

I'm Schumis biggest fan and would never claim he was a saint, thats making a point too far I think if anybody said that! He is the greatest driver since Fangio but a saint, I don't think so!

no no no not more, please

MODS please move the Raikkonen entries into a separate thread - AND 'accidentally' delete the remainder.

It would be a superteam, both drivers have the same mindset... "**** the media, let me drive" ;)

Imagine if the highway code was re-written by Schuey!?

'Subject to clarification following an investigation into an accident, this code may change at any time'
'All those driving a Ferrari are released from any obligation to follow the highway code'
'When the traffic light turns green, a sharp move right to the other side of the road is permitted'

Haha! Just to be clear Westy (and of course very specific) I did not say "this year" this year! I said it last year! So even if he signs within the next few days (it would not surprise me if he does so quite soon), my hat is safe; and at no point has it been under threat this year AD 2011.

    :)

I'll always admit my errors when I realise I've made them, and offer an immediate apology. ;) That's a promise.
