A Nigerian born from 2 Nigerian parents can play for England and classed as English,but an English player with 2 English parents born in Senegal wouldn't be allowed to play for Senegal or classed as Senegalese .

Please identify the particular Senegalese born player in question, your concern for him / her / whatever they identify as, is admirable ...

 

Iain has 2 Scottish parents (I presume) and was born in Hong Kong .

He now lives in Spain but he's not a Chinaman.

If he was born in Hong Kong to 2 Spanish parents the people in Malaga wouldn't pretend he's Chinese to spare his feelings.

He could play for Scotland and the rest of the team wouldn't call him Chinese.
