TBH Stroller your not exactly Nostradamus. It’s like me saying it will rain in the next year. Don’t forget you thought Jezza could win.

Getting back to Bridgen, he is very close with a lot of the ERG mob.

Wait a minute, how long is it since you said that this would all blow over for Johnson, a few hours? Now you're conceding that his demise is inevitable.

I'll win a nice few quid if Johnson goes before the end of this year, just as I did on the hung parliament when Corbyn stood against May..

I notice there is some criticism of the security services over the Gardener affair.
They had no legal options as the Chinese woman and others hadn't actually broken any laws.
This has always gone on and Barry Gardener was clearly identified as, what agents call, a 'useful idiot'.
After having been warned it appears that Gardener carried on with his links to the Chinese until the announcement by MI5. This was their only (legitimate) way to call a halt to what was going on.
In days gone by, this woman and all her associates would have been rounded up and taken to a private airfield. Bye bye!
Things are more transparent these days, making the job of MI5 much harder.
They do remarkable work imo.

Good, faith in the Aussies has been restored. Now if only that gutless twat in charge of the country could resign it will be a decent day !

Boris should’ve come out early and said it’s been 24 months of end-to-end booze, drugs and prossies at No10 since the start of the pandemic. Everybody would’ve assumed he was lying again and it would’ve all blown over by now.
It does beg the question....was everyone in no.10 permanently pissed during this pandemic? Could explain a lot!

I don't quite understand why people are casting doubt over this woman's potential findings.
She's an independent Civil Servant. Civil Servants are not known for protecting or agreeing with politicians. Look at what happened during the Brexit saga, with a whistle blower describing how Civil Servants were plotting in the background.
This woman is in an unenviable position imo.
She can't win with everyone whatever she concludes.
All she can do I suspect is lay out the facts.

I absolutely love this tweet from Sir Ken Clarke

Sir Jonathan Van-Tam to leave his role as England's deputy chief medical officer. Let’s hope Boris Johnson follows the science.

(I do know it is a parody account)
