I hated them at the time, hated all that synth pop stuff (bit of a rocker), but grew to really like Depeche Mode. One of the few bands of that genre I can listen to.
I think peoples attitude towards music changes with age and the fact once it isn't a fad, you can revisit and appreciate it more. I myself have gotten in ACDC and Metallica more over the past year.
Agree with that, definately has with me. I listen to quite a bit of stuff now that I didn't give the time of day to at the time. My loss, cos a lot of those bands don't exist anymore. Mind, there is very little modern day music that I like.
Modern is poor imo too mate. I love going on YouTube and sifting through new old stuff, blows my mind that some of this stuff has been out all my life and I've never heard it. Have you hear of LEBROCK? modern band doing an 80s vibe? I'll put one up on here now....
I'm into a load of music mate. Was 2002ish when I started going into Sunderland..Mid 80s baby you see. lol
Close enough to the 'madchester' stuff for me. New order, stone roses, happy Mondays stuff. I'm an 82 baby
Absolutely love Roses. Wanna be adored is up there for me. Brit pop is something I was aware of growing up (84 baby), but didn't understand, but now, Absolutely love most of the stuff
Thanks for posting that. Been digging out new stuff of similar ilk on Spotify. Quite like Kavinsky, one of the tracks from the Drive soundtrack
Get into the Smiths (Meat is murder, Strangeways here we come etc , New Order etc. Did you go to KU back in the day?
