Shamefully I was in leeds shopping the other week, I didn’t enjoy it honest, and I didn’t notice Queens hotel full of economic migrants. Beautiful hotel it is too
Poor you. Plenty of people seeking asylum in Leeds City Centre hotels actually. Can’t remember the name but I know it’s central and been full since long before Royal was opened for similar people (as were hotels in most big Cities)
100 pages more than my sweepstake estimate Can’t believe I’ve finally appeared optimistic!!! Apologies…I won’t do it again
Stop discussing this right now. Dutch has made it very clear. Probably because he knows full well that if the Home Office commissioned company (Mace I think) had decided to buy out Queens in Leeds their Council couldn’t have done anything to stop it in the same way that HCC couldn’t do anything to stop Royal being used, even though they did try. And knowing that is why he’s told us to stop discussing it…and I think we should respect him and do as he suggests. The end
I knew that. I still say housing them in the RSH for so long thus denying the rooms to visitors who would spend money in the city does not help the likes of Hammonds of Hull. The Dorchester not as much, but it does have an impact locally. We have other better hotels in the city centre and I would like to see HCC and the team paid to promote the city centre ( Hull BID)? doing more to encourage the city break market. My point about diverting nearly 3,000 thirsty and hungry football fans to Beverley for a Saturday afternoons drinking does nothing for Hull City centre still stands.
I intend to seek asylum(legally) in Lanzarote...Barcelo Costa Teguise Beach ,all inclusive, thanks in advance.
Nah, H10 Lanzarote Princess or H10 Rubicon Palace in Playa Blanca. In an odd way your post is linked to the ****e one Dutch is trying to stop. The underwater art installation just off Playa Blanca has statues dedicated to the settler’s who arrived by canoe and the immigrants who die in the Atlantic trying to get across from Africa. Sorry Dutch
Completely agree I’ve lost track of who is promoting the City Centre, but you’re right I was only saying on the Royal issue HCC aren’t to blame
Yes,I've seen them all getting ready and a mini bus on numerous occasions and their wet stuff hanging up after they dive. I haven't been for about 3 or 4 years..Good drinks menu on all inc but Barcelos is superb
My guess (and that is all it is) is that the EFL farm out various aspects of the submission to different bodies and Departments, who each have their own checks to do, some of which will take more time than others, and have their own workloads and priorities.
