That's all well and good but from next week there's only 2 weeks left of the window. There has to be a real possibility that this deal isn't ratified until next month the way it's dragging on. Then what? We're shagged, and I've no clue how we replace Magennis if we're still under an embargo or strengthen
Yes and if/when they find any issue with the detail then it goes back for a rework between the 2 parties. It's a dialogue and there are going to be a lot of technicalities. It's not like the EFL just have to mark illicalli's homework and put a tick in a box.
Eaves has repeatedly shown to be not up to it and 1 performance doesn't change that. Magennis was without a doubt better than Eaves. If we're pinning our hopes on Eaves, we'll likely end up back in L1
Magennis is better with his back to goal, Eaves is marginally better goalscoring wise if you compere minutes to goals Obviously we need a replacement but I think Eaves performance against Everton would mean he'd be starting the next couple of games anyway.
There will inevitably be technical details to tweak on a transaction of this size and complexity. The nuts and bolts won't change though. It'll be tiny details that will need to be approved etc before the EFL sign it off. That's not going to threaten the deal but will affect the timescale.
So to summarise then, we don't have anyone on the EFL review board and we are summising that there may be the odd technical glitch that needs sorting ? So we are still guessing then !!!
It isn't a case of who I do or don't believe, I don't think anyone knows when it will be done unless you're part of the board that's reviewing the sale.
Just said that if illicali doesn't know then no one else will. They've got to have an incling that its close though, else why all the publicity this week.
For those setting goals, 300 posts ago (1300) was 44 days ago on the 1st of December. At the same rate, that'd be the 26th of February for the scarf wave. Just to cheer you up.
Josh isn't a natural goalscorer though and you don't really expect him to score. A weird thing to say for a striker but it's true. But his work rate, hold up play is what is so important for us. Hope I'm wrong but I'm sure we'll get the usual Eaves against against Stoke and when we want to haul him off after an hour we can't because we've no senior strikers on the bench. It's complete lunacy to let him go when we're already short on options. It's almost like we think we're no longer in a relegation battle
The use of Dorchester and Royal is not a choice of the Council. All hotels used for those seeking asylum right across the UK are bought up centrally by a company the Home Office use. Councils are merely informed that it is happening when it’s just about to happen. I agree completely the Council should be encouraging economically active people to the City, but hotels being hired by a company and used to house those seeking asylum is something they have no control over Big FACT as I am ITK
I’m pretty sure certain people are going to demand a recount of the posts that have been deleted off here to help their case
As I've mentioned, I've no horse running in this race and virtually no recognisable principles, so I'm wide open to bribes.
