My point was tied in with the demise of shopping in the city centre, in particular Hammonds of Hull, and fact that the biggest and one of the best known hotels in the middle of the city centre and alongside the railway station is not available to the city break visitor market. Those housed in there at the moment are not allowed to work and therefore have a very limited amount of cash to spend which is not good for the local economy. Equally if I were the owner of a bar in the city centre I would be asking questions as to why the majority of 3,000 visiting football fans to the city last Saturday were diverted away from the city to Beverley ? It is all money lost to the local economy which is obviously struggling at the moment.
As for the Dorchester Hotel, it is now closed to the casual visitor to the city, they may not have all been tourists stopping there I'd take a punt that everyone who might of stopped at the Dorchester would have spent more money locally then the asylum seekers who, as those in the RSH, do not work and have nothing to spend. HCC should be encouraging people to the city who have cash to spend, like Leeds and York are, that is the only way the leisure and retail industry and the jobs they provide will survive in this economic climate. At the moment it is a race to the bottom.

His cryptic Instagram post and the strange timing of the sale of Magennis today, maybe closer than we dare hope?

According to HDM articles, HCC had no say, and were not happy about the current visitors being in Station Hotel, but as mentioned, none of this is for this thread.

But it might well impact significantly on our options in the transfer market as each day passes!

This may be a stupid question, unless we have a member of the site that actually sits on the EFL review board, but how the fk would anyone know how its progressing ?

The players have already been targeted and sounded out. They know what they are doing. We have a Director of Football sorting it all out.

Who mentioned the EFL ? I certainly didn't. It's progressing from the City end and we know the Turks are willing buyers.

We are going to reach 1600 pages easily without finalization. But never mind we have solved the worlds problems along the way, from the mundane-the queues at the stadium bathrooms-to the weighty-immigration to the Uk.
But gotta say I am with you the wait is painful. And I am totally disappointed with myself for constantly looking for updates.

This is starting to become a real issue now. Not because it won't happen, but the time it's taking to do so. It was meant to be done for Xmas and now 3 weeks later it's still not done. We're only just above the bottom 3 and we need additions to stay up. We've only lost our first choice strike force too now, I don't understand the logic in allowing Magennis to go before we've got a replacement in the door or at least close either and we have a gaffer who's stating publicly that he doesn't know if he'll be in a job next week. There's only a couple of weeks left of the window, but more importantly, there's every chance we'll play another 3 times before we bring anybody in and as such it's hard to see us picking up many points either.

I suppose those who said it was all agreed and had been passed to the EFL for approval could've been wrong and the two sides are still haggling over the details.

I don’t think we’ve lost our first choice strikeforce we’ve lost a limited at this level forward , he’s not a striker . If we san get a left wing back fit then KLP can go to where he should have been for the last two years -number 10 . He’s an edge of box and in box finisher , not a winger . He can play off Eaves for now who can win more balls in the air and generally runs more than Josh ever did. As long as George etc back them up for now we should be ok - in my opinion or maybe it’s FACT !
