Nah: https://mixture.gg/v/61e086d9a2fcd He has a couple of glances over his shoulder. Knows exactly what he's doing. Should be a 3 match ban.
Never denial of a goal scoring oppo, he chested the ball far too hard and it ran between the keeper and a defender. He is not the fastest of players and would have had to recover his stride on landing to get anywhere near it. Ref's bent as ****, Saka burst through two Liverpool defenders to head into the area and the ref called it back for a foul on him meaning Liverpool had a chance to get all 11 players back in their area. Ref should be off for denial of a goal scoring oppo there
Opinions or differing ones are great, glad it's not just me questioning the red card. Think i've accepted it was, even if a bit hasty.
Not sure the adverts on the side for Predator Energy are particularly well timed. Sounds like something that Andrew would drink...
The red was given for the denial of a goalscoring opportunity not the severity of the foul. Many fouls deserve a red for the deliberate intent to stop an opponent, however the laws of the game dictate it's a yellow unless dangerous and/or reckless and therefore endangering an opponent. The so called professional foul needs eradicating from the game in my opinion.
It's hard to judge whether it's denying a goalscoring opportunity. There's another defender there and the ball control isn't great. Strange reason from Oliver, but then he is quite ****.
****ing Smith there, Saka won the ball but he's led with his foot What the **** is he supposed to lead with
Arnold just stands and waits for the ball to reach him, Tierney has come from yards away to intercept the ball at least 3 times now and make him look stupid
It's yet another reason why VAR is so bloody annoying. Not all decisions are clear cut and so allowing the onfield referee to take another look before he makes his decision to award the red card is just common sense.
