You’ve seen all the records of every migrant or are you simple racially profiling them & making assumptions? They’re migrants, economic migrants
If they’re here illegally, then they’ve broken the law and are criminals. If they’re here claiming asylum, they are asylum seekers. A few years ago We put up a woman and kid from Syria for two months, she works in London, wife is still in touch. Nothing criminal about them. My best mates mum did the same and took in a lad from Iran, he was a massive bellend and was really rude. Spice of life eh?
What does ‘arrived here illegally’ mean? There’s no law against arriving in the UK and applying for asylum, whatever route you’ve used to travel, so doing so can’t be illegal, whichever way you look at it. Those in Royal Hotel are people seeking asylum, which means be definition they have arrived and applied for asylum which they have every legal right to do. Therefore they haven’t done anything illegal. Whether the UK Govt grants them asylum or not, and the length of time it takes them to decide one way or another, is an entirely different matter (and although I don’t know much it seems to take longer than you might hope, for all concerned) So no…there are no ‘illegal immigrants’ in Royal Hotel, and there won’t be any in the Dorchester. Urika raises a fair question around whether having two hotels tied up and unavailable for tourists is good for the City, particularly if the hotels don’t use local staff (Royal does, but I wasn’t aware Dorchester might not) and assuming all the other hotels are struggling to take the number of guests it would be a bad thing for the economy on balance. I doubt that is the case at the moment but it may be in the future I suppose.
Possibly, although he did say that it'll be something never seen before in English football, and a behind the scenes documentary has kinda already been done with the Sunderland 'Til I Die series which covered their takeover. I do think it'll be something along those lines though, perhaps as others have suggested, a reality TV type show, online episodes, fly on the wall type stuff. I guess we'll have to wait and see
If there was a massive demand for tourists staying at the Dorchester I’d be hugely surprised, given that there’s two holiday inns, a Hilton and a Travelodge within half a mile of each other.
Me and Chazz are going to have buzzers to pick the team from a line up of all available players before kick off. Mines being fitted in Gemmels, but wired to the stadium PA so 7 or 8 people will hear it at least…
I’m 99% confident it will happen, its the fact we are in a transfer window that worries me especially as most of those we are linked too are abroad so Medicals & work permits mean they can’t be last minute signings
Acun bought into Fortuna Sittard but opted out again in less than a year - not sure what this tells us about his plans for here.
Absolutely nothing given his reason for leaving was that he wanted to have a say in choosing the coach.
Hold your horses, I knew Pat quite well and was as much a football fan - albeit for his home town club. As it should be in my view. He has/had no bias against us whatsoever.
I suspect the fact that he has stated he is 100% in charge of the decisions suggests he will have a lot more leeway than minority shares at other clubs he had interests in, here he can influence as much as he wishes. Therein lies the difference. Let's wait and see before hanging the bloke eh ?
I have no clue what Castro's comment was alluding to, to be fair. I couldn't see any answer that would fit either, other than Hull City AFC. I'm pretty sure that isn't what he was thinking though.
