Yeah, it's a joke isn't it? I think I would agree with Trippier LB & Krafth RB. Really need Lewis back fit. Was looking good before he got injured. Maybe get Kamara in this afternoon and we can sack Shelvey off as well!
Would he risk Dummett? Though anyone with any sense would have played him last week,so I'll answer my own question,NO.
Would have been a much better shout for CB than Krafth - less sprinting, more getting back in to the swing of things. Id imagine Eddie was banking on being a goal or two up by HT/60 mins and then getting him some mins in the legs but we all know Howe that went
Yeah he could've gone that way or start him and then take him off when he got tired but this is Newcastle...
I have this feeling Howe's going to do something weird, like Bruce-level weird. 5-4-1 with at least 3 out of position. Dubs Trippier - Schar - Lascelles - Clark (yep) - Ritchie Fraser - Shelvey - Joelinton - ASM Wood
If Howe starts Clark in any game going forwards I want him out. I can forgive just about everything else but that is an absolute no go! Clark In? Howe Out!
He's useless in a 4-4-2. He's not made for it. Longstaff shows more potential and heart to me than Hayden or Willock in that position.
I'd have been tempted to push Joelinton further back and play willock behind Wood. Maybe from the bench though I guess.
As sad as it is it would be a boost if Dummett starts, covers Maxi's laziness down the left and means Trips can play in his proper position.
He looked painfully lacking in confidence and ability in his minutes he had against Cambridge. Can't believe he single-handedly kept us up last season. It's a modern mystery.
Who said he needed 30 mins last week, you should feel ashamed he looks like he’s at full pelt in that pic
