Aye like i said its scattergun, someone in the media mentioned it yesterday. I dont think Howe has really played with a big man up front before but its a good tactic.

 

I don't to do that tbh cos it's too easy and I have more imaginative ways of debating without using that to pull rank. You've just wierdly used it on yourself though.

In terms of baiting, I'm just discussing **** on here, you need to work harder if you think I'm seething with rage. In the same way then I assume we're baiting Nig, Blond Bombshell, Rog, Sid et al as they seem to live in our Warm Glow thread (aka Let's Laugh At The SMBs). It's a ****ing forum and anyone can post where they want, doesn't mean there's any baiting, rattling or whatever you wanna call it.

Double figures in the Prem for all of the last 4 seasons for a struggling club is a good record, as well as the fact we'll be weakening the squad of relegation rival.

We've got no recognisable striker fit right now, so very happy about signing him tbh, in our position we can't get the likes of Lewandowski right now, so Wood is decent considering what is available to us.

 

When the takeover was announced would you have been happy if you were told that your first signing (forward) was Chris Wood for 25 million?

Or are you now happy because no other ****er wants to be there (unless the cash is right)

 

He obviously did a great job at Bolton, football was ugly and tedious, but he had a formula which was clearly successful.

However he was clearly limited, and instead of building from there and becoming a top manager, when he left he quickly degenerated into a journeyman who would take any job offered from a struggling club who had just sacked their manager. He never had a long term job at the likes of West Ham, Everton or Palace, cos keeping them safe was all he could do, bigger clubs didn't want him to stay on cos the football was unbearable.

I'm just happy that Sky only have pictures of the players before games now.

You aren't an attractive option for decent strikers, that's why you have ended up with Wood. It won't take much to bring in an upgrade for him.

I think that's the main reason for the signing. Without the clause they wouldn't have sold him either. The ambition of becoming the 4th worst team in the PL is in full swing. Wonder who Burnley will sign with all that extra cash though?

 

Yeah I've seen a few comments about what a clever bit of business it is because it weakens a rival, but Burnley aren't daft. They'll have some quality targets that they can have a good crack at bringing in with all that cash in their pocket.

Won't have to resort to paying release clauses either.

Wouldn't be surprised if the mags have shot themselves in the foot, they like doing that.
