Has Allardyce's football been tolerated anywhere?

West Ham, Everton and Palace all gave him the boot cos they'd rather gouge their eyes out than watch his football, only you lot wanted him to say cos you didn't mind your team being a bunch of long ball knackers.

The problem with Fat Sam with us was that as well as the **** football, he didn't get the results, he tried to reshape the defence and brought in turds like Claudio Cacapa and David Rozenhal. When Derby go down with 11 points and 4 of them are against you, you know you've got problems.

Much like Howe who couldn't beat the bottom team or a third division team at home ...

... thrash around on here as much as you like, you're disappointed with Howe and you know it.

We actually just wanted a bit of managerial stability...

You'd have got bored of him, everyone does even if he's doing well.

Shame it took crashing into the 3rd tier to get managerial stability then?

Allardyce had Kirchoff, Khazri, etc playing some highly entertaining football ...

... and went on to manage England which Howe will never do.

But he didn't play long ball football with us. Maybe he works with what he's got and if the players aren't good enough he finds a solution.

And we all know how that ended <doh>

You know perfectly well at that point the England job was a ****ing farce position and they would have employed any old idiot back then.

    Wood isn’t a bad signing.

£25 million though? Not another club on earth would pay over £12million.

One of very few strikers about with a buy out clause though, are we seeing what we read about and other PL clubs refusing to do business with them? They can’t stop a bit out clause.

We played great attacking football under Sam as a side note. Pretty gung ho stuff was great fun.

I'd have been interested to see how that had developed, seemed massively short-termist - ie Kirchoff was a key player for you staying up, but was obviously going to fall apart next season.

How’s record so far is absolutely horrendous yet we have mags desperately trying to justify the performances! New philosophy and all that bullshit!
Fact is the identical performances we’ve seen from Howe if under Bruce there’d have been ructions!
The worm will turn if they get beat on Saturday though. The owners will see the true colours of their idiotic fans!

Any other examples of why it was massively short termist other than Kirchhoff being injury prone? I imagine he'd have done something radical like sign decent backup to play alongside M'Vila should Kirchhoff get injured.

Its a good signing imho but its all a bit scattergun, they've just gone for the cheapest and easiest option. Still £25m is crazy...

Look, I'll explain something that might save you some time.

One of the main laughs, for us, is posting how the Mags keep twisting themselves inside out to praise Staveley, Howe, Wood, etc, when you'd obviously rather have better.

You come on and, incredibly, do exactly the same thing.

Automatically defending everything Newcastle do is why we're laughing ...

... then you come on here doing exactly what we're laughing at <doh>

    Seriously, don't you get it.

    It is.

Listen he’s a good player and a great throwback number 9, to sign him as backup or to potentially change it up and play with Wilson, for 12-15 would have been savvy.

It does reek of desperation, but then they are in a desperate place. If he keeps them up it’s worth every penny, but he’s having his worst ever season in the PL.

I don’t know why they didn’t go for someone like Ntekiah. Next up, Shane Long for £22m <laugh>

But that's not even what happens.

Firstly we'd obviously rather have Guardiola and Messi, but given our current situation, what we have could be worse.

Secondly I don't come on here defending everything, I just pick you up when you guys talk horseshit, which happens a lot of the time.

    YES.

He spent eight years at Bolton, getting them promoted and keeping them in The Prem and getting them into Europe.

In fact his overall record of keeping poor Clubs up is quite good.

Your post suggests to me, though I might have missread it, that you follow the Kevin Keagan mantra, 'I'd rather we lost 4-5 than won 1-0.
It's something that many fans claim.
But when their Team ends up relegated after too many 4-5 defeats they do tend to complain.
Fans who support sides that regularly win 1-0, and stay up tend to smirk a lot though.

So you're now happy to have signed a lump of a centre forward to play hoofball to?

The mighty striker who has better defensive stats that attacking stats? Sorry forgot, he scored 2 international hattricks against the south pacific powerhouse that is the Solomon Islands

What you actually do is come on here to state that you're currently in the PL and we're in L1 ...

... I have to break it to you that we already knew.

That seems to be all you have tbh.

Of course we talk horseshit, it's just a daft forum not Crown Court.

Much of it is to bait Mags which, as you're here, proves it works.

so would we if truth be told, BSA seemed to handle kirchoff quite well, by not 'over-playing' him and managing his minutes he got the best out of him, had BSA stayed i am sure mvilla would have ended up as part of the squad and if anything he was one of the main cogs...a player who wanted to be here, instead we blew loads of cash elsewhere on much worse players.
