It's just the depth that varies and, at the moment, we can keep our heads above water, just. Sadly, you lot seem to be sinking beyond redemption.
It's all very well to speak of democracy and who you're going to vote for but remember, Democracy last as long as it takes to put your cross on a piece of paper. From then on you have no say in what happens, none at all. Your voted for representative can do exactly what they want without any recourse to you or others that voted for him/her. "Have your say at the ballot box", but don't expect any benefit for the next five/ three years, then you do it all again.
I disagree democracy is a more long term and deep engagement between politicians and voters. It lasts from the time the election is called until you cast your vote, then they revert to kind ........
I agree he’s an extremely unlikely candidate. But as we’ve all seen, if a senile old **** like Creepy Joe can get in the White House it just goes to show in politics anything is possible. None of them are that good but if they keep Starmer and the Marxist nut jobs away from power at the next GE - job done.
Obviously it would be more of a protest vote because my local MP, Vicky Ford (Con) who I voted for, needs to buck her ideas up. Fortunately a protest vote where I live is exactly that and wouldn’t let Labour in the back door as they’ve no chance of getting in round here (Chelmsford)
Failed in the London Mayoral election. They aren't going anywhere. Fox is an idiot who opens his mouth then engages his brain too many times. Mind you, the PM tends to do that... Fox has now decided to jointly open a pub instead.
