Shows how **** he's been tbf...VAR has done it right tonight imo. I'd be pissed if any of those decisions were given against us in all honesty
TBH this semi final (and what I fear will happen v Arsenal and Chelsea in our next two games) will show just how damaging the decision to wait so long to sack JM was and just how much worse it was to wait 10 weeks and then replace him with the wrong guy. A waste of a season tbh
In the end we probably should have got a draw out of that Chelsea were better than us for sure, but the game was even. Thought Sanchez had a good game, defended Lukaku well.
Why is Mariner not handing out yellow cards for these game stopping fouls. No need to answer.I know it’s because it is Mariner
Conte has made a record start for spurs of 8 unbeaten league games in the the league (5 wins 3 draws). Unfortunately only Liverpool were in the top 10 and only 3 were away from home (2 draws and a win). We kept 4 clean sheets (all against teams outside the top 10)... in fact, including the league Cup games we've played top 6 teams 4 times and only won 1, drawing 1 and losing two ... scoring 4 conceding 6. I fear that our run is coming to a crashing halt with our up coming games against arsenal and Chelsea.
The refereeing was appalling. According to the on field officials we won 3-1!!! And the added time was absurd. The match was stopped with 6 minutes to go and started again on 92 mins. So 98 mins was just enough for normal time. So nothing was added for 8 substitutions and two VAR reviews.
If Kane had been in his historical form we would have got at least two goals tonight. The ball to Moura should have been much better and he shouldn't have been offside for the goal.
I would also contest that once Rudiger was adjudged to have fouled Hojbjerg outside the box it became a red card offence, the fact that he didn't even produce a yellow is ridiculous but should have allowed VAR to point out that it was denial of a clear goal scoring opportunity, which is in my book a clear and obvious error.
