People saying not enough invested on the team. The lads brought in have been very good additions and some of the better players with the exception of Alves (unless I'm missing anyone?), so I do not know how paying more money would have made those signings any of those any better. The only thing imo we could have done is maybe sign a few more but that isn't without its potential problems if you try to bring in too many at once. One thing that is disappointing is we were told they were improving the pitch to be state of the art, the article made it sound like we would be one of the only ones in the country using the tech (along with Spurs at their Billion quid stadium). But it looks like that was all talk as the pitch has looked shocking at times and last night was horrendous. Also if the groundstaff were watering it last night to the point it was like that have we got good enough staff in that role?
I don’t like the manager. It’s difficult to have too much of an opinion on an owner as it’s difficult to gauge who that actually is.

My honest opinion was last night 6 or 7 players had absolute stinkers. Our midfield was none existent really meaning we were unable to play our style of moving the ball quickly. We were relying on Flanagan or Doyle to spread 50 yard balls to wingers which was never really going to work. I'm hoping Dan Neil was fatigued last night as he was nowhere to be seen and nowhere near his usual quality self. Diamond showed glimpses first half but went missing when it got physical and Stewart worked his socks off as usual. The whole back 4 and midfield were probably 3 out of 10 at best with players like Gooch Flanagan and Doyle would recieve a generous zero. As for Maguire he had his 1 game of the season where he actually turns up. The guy has a lot of talent but has ended up pissing his career away in the lower leagues which days all you need to know about the guy for me.
It's always going to be a dogfight to get out of this league. What is it that you are expecting? He's invested a lot of money on players, just because they don't announce fees doesn't mean we don't pay them. Cirkin alone probably cost more than most starting XIs in this league
Absolutely. What's the f*cking obsession with what percentage KLD owns? It's almost as if people are willing this to fail
Oh I’m not arguing he shoulders some blame mate. But those players he had out there were excellent on Saturday. Yet last night they were awful. Reckon my son’s u17 amateur team would’ve given them a game.
So that's 1 loss in 11? I held my hands up on the LJ out thread that I was hasty and frustrated and caught up in the "must have l, here and now" but jebus 1 loss on what was clearly a bad night for most players and between here and rtg there have been blame laid at 7 players, the manager, the owner, the backroom staff and the groundsman. I have seem posts saying lack of investment in infrastructure , lack of signings, lack of interest, lack of skill. God help some people if we lose another game before the end of the season
That's it, I know who the owner is now! please log in to view this image "If it falls to me to start a fight to cut out the cancer of bent and twisted journalism in our country with the simple sword of truth and the trusty shield of British fair play, so be it."
It seems that after 1 loss, the whole negative brigade have come out with the usual stuff about how crap the team is, the manager and the owner. I find it quite strange that this wasn't brought up when we were on the unbeaten spell and playing decent football in the process
I dont understand why people expect to be told this stuff. If anyone really thinks Donald and co still have a say then they cant have been paying attention to what they did when in charge. This setup we have now couldnt be more different to what they served up.
Biggest problem in my opinion last night was how NAIVE we were throughout the game First Goal conceded a free kick - stand in front of the ball same as 99% of our opponents- we fall asleep allow a quick take of the kick with Gooch turning his back on the taker and we concede. Second goal quick break and Diamond has the opportunity to take down the runner but allows him away with a resultant penalty and sending off - how many times have we seen our players brought down on halfway by our opponents again we concede but also have Winchester sent off . We rally and pull a goal back and they are put under increasing pressure and we come close to scoring an equaliser and then Gooch who was rated 0/10 on Roker report tried to execute an outrageous volley and totally missed the ball allowing Lincoln to breakaway and kill us off with the third goal . We are a relatively young team who need to learn the darker arts quickly such as standing in front of free kicks till we are ready to defend , knowing when to stop opponents before they are left clear .We were naive to extreme last night LEARN FROM IT!
