In what way do they pass it on, aerosol transmission, topical contact or some other way? How do you know what they eat? Have you ever asked these many parents you see daily if they have any underlying medical, or indeed social, conditions that may be affecting them? Was standing by & being judgmental whilst being ignorant of their true lives & situations your main focus?
Funny you should mention that. I agree that social conditions can be a huge factor on obesity and there is a link between poverty and obesity in the West. But I’d also say that a large chunk of anti-vaxxers have been duped due to misinformation and fake news. Charging them for healthcare as some sort of punishment for not getting vaccinated if they get ill is short-sighted.
Ever considered food choices and overeating plays its part in most cases? Which is why obesity is more prevalent in some countries than others? I am sure you realised TIGERSCAVE meant they were passing it on by making the poor food choices for their own kids as they have and feeding them junk food.
As a Country it appears to be a modern day trend for many to be happily duped (misled, conned). I’m beginning to believe it’s more stupidity, ignorance or both & as such my sympathy is running very thin.
Ever asked yourself or considered why those choices are made? He doesn’t see parents forcing junk food down their kids throats.
Not particularly. It’s actually fairly simple. Empty calories in sugar is easily accessible and fairly cheap in the West, in the form of fizzy drinks, chocolate and sweets. In less developed countries, sugary foods are nowhere near as available or cheap. Poor people in the West are more likely to eat cheap junk whereas poor people in the poorest parts of Africa may not eat much at all.
In general people in poor countries tend to eat food as it comes, be it fruit, vegetable or meat. Richer nations eat more processed and what is often called junk food.
People in poverty in poor countries don't eat much at all. The reason for eating processed and junk food is in most instances laziness. It is just as cheap to cook for yourself, it just takes a bit of effort.
No one is forcing people to gorge on chocolate and sweets swilled down with fizzy drinks. That is a lifestyle choice.
Omi-gone? Cases are now falling in 30% of England's boroughs. Deaths have barely risen in England's most recent wave, and are currently tracking at about half the level of a bad flu year, analysis suggests. The number of critically ill patients in hospital is still flat a month into the fourth wave. Professor David Heymann, a leading public health expert at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, yesterday said the UK is set to become one of the first country's to exit the pandemic thanks to its high immunity levels. He told an event at Chatham House that infections would likely soon settle down and start spreading in a similar way to flu and other endemic illnesses. He also pointed out that it was no longer triggering serious illness or death in large numbers, unlike in March 2020 when the virus first arrived. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/health/me...f-england-s-boroughs/ar-AASHrU7?ocid=msedgntp
Absolutely My grown up children are reminded of that fact on a regular basis. And on the numerous occasions my grand-children are given pocket money by the wife and I,it's on the strict instruction it's not for McDonald's or Burger Ming!!! It's a crying shame walking by babies in pushchairs munching on Greggs greasy offerings...
Two of my grandkids are vegetarian. But due to the processed stuff and veggie alternatives which can be full of additives and salt I would say the carnivore grandkid is eating more healthily.
The 'carnivore grandkid' conjures up an image Our grandkids(bar one) have ate what's put in front of them since they were months old, home cooked food is the norm in my house and when we watched them they ate what we ate.The little lass who's 4 won't eat a thing put down to her, she's really fussy and eats a lot of junk food...Her Mother was one of the laziest, self centred bitches I've ever had the dis-pleasure of knowing,to be honest she's neglected the bairn. She's separated from my son now but the wee one has the bad-habits and it will take some doing to break that. There's not a picking on her just now but if she keeps eating that fast food **** that will change.
