I have to praise Stuart Attwell and his team for their contribution, they kept the game flowing, got most of their crucial decisions spot on.Not sending Toney off was a good decision as it didn't disrupt the game, altough he would have been justified in giving a second yellow in my opinion.
The longer the season goes on the better he gets and that was the ultimate all round midfield display from him and he must be in the top few English CMs right now. His fitness levels are unbelievable and he does more running at the end of a match than anyone.
What was the score when that challenge was made ? I can’t remember First yellow seemed quite harsh so it would have been a harsh red all in all (not that that seem to matter when it comes to our players)
And yet he doesn’t get in the final squad when everyone is fit due Rice, Phillips, Henderson and Bellingham. Just got to hope those players are also where the top clubs focus their attention when it comes to midfield signings as well (Hendo excluded as he is going nowhere) Call it selfish but I am content for JWP to be on the fringes of England if it means Man United are linked with Rice and Liverpool with Bellingham and not him
Also Broja didn’t win much in the air but he put pressure on them from all the high stuff and that helped us to win those 2nd balls
And I think Prowsey relishes his leadership role with us. It wouldn’t be the same being a bit part player in a team of stars playing in the England system and he’ll never be captain there
I don't think anybody will be asking the question of "what if Newcastle come in with a big offer?" now.
But seriously, how much would you sell him for and how much will it cost to replace his value to the team?
I was thinking the same but couldn’t help but think that kind of comment could easily be met with criticism for fairly obvious reasons But his demeanour seems the same. And he might not get away with it as much as he is a strong centre forward type rather than a nippy winger
I meant he came across last eve as moaning, whinging type player, which surprised me as that’s not how I’ve seen him on the box & reminded me of Zaha’s similar “attributes”. Regarding your other possible criticism, I’d say that’s more a problem for them & definitely not me
I'm doing a bit of research into Serbian Beers, wines and spirits. Maybe the national dress and drinks should be the last match garb and tipple. More cultural info here. https://www.rakijagrill.com/blog/drink-like-a-serbian-how-to-drink-rakija-like-a-local/ Maybe a pre season tour for the club, I'd be up for that. please log in to view this image
