I haven't come here to talk about the decisions. You asked why we were proud of our players and we gave you an answer.

Unlike yourself, most QPR fans (moreso those that went) have been gracious in victory and I commend them for that. Both sets of supporters were brilliant.

I think red for Drogs deffo. Bossy red or yellow, in the balance. I do wonder if Chris Foy was under duress of some kind. It wasn't just Chelsea that got cards, there were four to QPR as well. He was overwhelmed and swamped. I don't believe he got a proper dialogue going with either Captain but played the high handed judge, which became detrimental the the whole game. Basically he lacked common sense. He told the players what he was doing then buggered off and sometimes when he was needed he went AWOL. I think it was beyond his abilities, yet he wasn't alone. There were 2 assistants there and from what I could see they hung him out to dry. I only saw them confirm or deny when he questioned them, neither gave him any advice. Chris Foy was reactive and the Premiership demands proactive ref as and when it is needed. He missed the tipping point and then he could never get back. The fourth official also looked sheepish. Several times AVB was remonstrating with him and all he did was nod yes back. You could see him saying OK OK.

I think Chelsea now incur an automatic FA charge for failing to control their players. Due to the red cards being right, in the main, I don't think Chelsea will officially appeal. Unofficially, behind closed doors, I hope there is a check that Foy wasn't got at by any criminal elements. His past performances show him to be a good ref, so was there some influencing good on? I hope not, but it must be investigated. Also unofficially Foy needs a reprimand. No need to make it public, for show the FA are welcome to back him to the hilt for the sake of future games and the other referees, but in private the have to be draconian.

Criminal elements? FFS the sendings off were justified under the rules laid down, I thought the first was harsh and should only have been a yellow but the second was a clear-cut red. You had a good shout for the Lampard penalty but he didn't give it. These things happen regularly and generate cross sections of debate, but to allude that criminal elements are involved is really scraping the barrel, get over it, we've had our share of crap decisions over the years...

So, a small team gets the big decisions in their favour against one of the precious big 4 and there is a chance it was due to 'criminal elements'. 9/10 refs would have sent Drogba off and I'd say the majority would have sent off Bosingwa as well. You didn't get the rub of the green and we did, it happens.

Having slept on the result these are my considerations, The ref got most of the big decisions right, defo 2 red cards stone wall penalty, missed the pull on Lampard, Luis threw himself down in a heap,Chelsea were superb when down to 9 and looked the more likely to score,we messed up opportunities to score the 2nd,fans were great even B block were we sit,and the 3 points are very welcome,Thought Chelsea didn't handle the pressure from the off, the welcome they received when there coach pulled up set the tone for the afternoon, thet were bombarded with, we are the Rangers boys, west London is ours, and we hate Chelsea as well as you fat bastard aimed at Mr Lampard.overall it was a great day for us and a bad day for the neighbours, roll on Sunday.

Foy was bad, but he made 2 big debatable decisions, the majority of neutrals i've heard believe it was a penalty and the red card decision wasn't even that bad, sure, it could've been a yellow but he was the last man and that's meant to be a red card, isn't it?

Chelsea lost their discipline; the ref could have even up the pens though

We didn't have two extra men, you had two men fewer than us because they were sent off. If we had two extra men that would mean we had 13, I suppose if you count the ref and linesman you'd be spot on.

I'm amazed at the Cheslea fans posting on our board, you are going on to play and probably beat Arsenal next week, you have Champions League ties soon and unless your team completely self destructs you will qualify again for the CL next year.

We know this was the biggest game of our season so allow us a few giggles at your expense.

It's refreshing to read some of the more sensible comments written on this thread (that doesn't apply to lcooper of course) by realistic Chelsea fans.
I found it difficult to tell who had the 11 men in the second half, I thought Chelsea closed down QPR very well and were often first to the loose ball, neitehr of which you would expect from a team with only 9 men, but I have to agree with the poster who said that Chelsea's indiscipline was to blame.
I have sympathy for the first one but Drogba's lunge was horrendous and I think it's fair to say that had he stayed on the pitch Chelsea would have been favs to win the game.
I was also disappointed in the player reaction to a number of instances, I wonder if something had happened earlier because the body language from Lampard and Terry in particular was poor even before the first red....

Man UTD game yesterday, Johnny Evans gets sent off for almost a carbon copy incident as Bosingwa's offence....AND NO Terry was not the last man, there was no way he would have got over in time to block any pending shot had SWP not been impeded.

    Nuff said

You lost, end of story. Pityful to read about all these stupid excuses. Big Chelsea - stuffed with Russian money - did not manage to beat their little neiqhbours. Our goal is to stay in the PL which we will accomplish, your goal was different yet you loose against a newly promoted team. Sorry if your staff is not capabable...

It May be your goal but without a benevolent referee every game you have as much chance of staying up as Stevie Wonder tightrope walking across Niagara Falls. <ok>

I never thought you'd be the poster speaking the most sense after the game - but agree with what you've said on here today.

Anything we get out of Spuds and City will now be a bonus - as three points from those three was two more than i expected

...and that after loosing to QPR. Get real, the referees decisions were harsh but correct - nothing to do with benevolence.
