Indeed. I don’t think anyone has all the answers or can be overly confident that they’ve got it right.

The Government is looking at reducing the isolation period for COVID sufferers from 7 days to 5 days.
If this is done, it will be 100% a political decision designed to maximise the number of people available for work.
Nothing whatsoever to do with science.

    That's fine in itself.
They are the Government. It's their job to take tough decisions.
But they should not continue to pretend their policies on COVID19 are based on following the science.

Breaking News- he's been arrested in Melbourne! Whatever happens, Djocovid has given great encouragement to the anti-vxxers.

That's actually my take on it. I'm not sure about the court case - it sounds like Tennis Australia gave him conflicting advice which he followed. But it has given him and his covidiot friend a chance to grandstand about avoiding a vaccine.

And his family too. Nigel Farage has flown out to Serbia to give them moral support. Maybe while he's there he'll tell the Serbs that East Europeans are not welcome in the UK.

Can’t find anything to say he’s been arrested ? Is that after the court verdict ?

In any case it’s a complete farce. The tennis authorities desire to have their champion compete in the open should not trump the laws of the country in which it is staged. Equally if someone didn’t allow him enough time to respond with more evidence, then they should be dealt with, but again that technicality shouldn’t override the more important matter of preventing people dieing.

As much as I disagreed with the Colston jury verdict, perhaps there is a time and place to ignore the technical letter of the law and impose a more natural justice after all.

And as for Nigel Farage - as a long time admirer of his efforts on Brexit - that was his highlight and he has no place in getting involved in this issue.

I hear some of his supporters got pepper-sprayed by Police.
Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

I’m disappointed in both Nigel and Australia at the moment.

Come on Aussies, there’s still time to kick Novacc Getcovid out.

Onto better news………..today is the third day in a row that new infection figures have fallen significantly in the UK compared to the same day of the previous week.

Are we over the peak ?

A family friend in her late 60's (I haven't asked) has had the Omicron variant recently. It's always been a worry that she might get it because she has severe COPD, but all she's had is a slight cough and a runny nose. Very encouraging.

    Oh, for pity's sake...

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-59930733

    This is now beyond ridiculous.
Why did the BBC describe this as a "gathering" on the TV news this morning?
    It was a party.

A 'bring your own booze' party.
"Gathering" is the pathetic fig-leaf term used by Boris' spin-doctors.

It is absolutely clear now that the Government and its hangers-on disregarded the lockdown rules right from the beginning of the pandemic.
    They just pleased themselves.
