If your all that bothered about a bit of bird **** organise yourselves into a work team and go and clean the ****er up instead of spending all day whinging on here. FFS, we've just seen one of the best games of football for years with our new owner, who will do the deed this week, watching from the stands and all we get is some moaning ****ers on about bird ****.

People suggesting people just move to a nicer area give off real "Everyone has 24 hours in a day" vibes like that chick recently.

This literally isn’t the point is it?

We all pay money to get into that stadium, and the owners want more people to come.

Part of that is making it an attractive place to be. Do you really think you’ll get families going back if they have to sit in dirty stands?

I won’t give free labour to a private company that I am ALREADY paying, with owners who pay themselves interest and have earnt a lot of money out of it over the years.

So you would sit in a seat that is under a leak in the roof every game for ten years? You wouldn’t think, **** me no one is doing anything about this, I’m moving seats to where it’s dry! Nah of course not.

You'd think for £1.4m they'd could get one of the administrators to buy a Karcher ffs.

For the Drew's out there, Hang on pal your on about a bit of bird **** on maybe less then 1% of 24.500 seats. Get things into perspective. 'The owners want more people to come' which is about the only sensible thing you gave posted. That's probably why they reduced the ticket prices and laid on pre match entertainment, with a lot of it aimed at kids/families. The stadium is an attractive place to be. I watched Dave Hemmingways Songbirds playing on the concourse the home game before last for free. They have a band playing before every game now. There was pool football for the kids laid on and people employed to do face painting, which I declined. I smeared my face in bird **** to save the club a bit of money.
Outside there is family entertainment laid on too. Much more then we have ever had. You probably don't see any of this though do you ?

Why is expecting a clean stadium even an argument being had? Utterly bonkers.

I remember the times when the wealthier, and not so wealthier supporters used to donate stuff like this to the club. Do you ?

I can't get my head around your thought process that it isn't important to not have bird crap on the seats, so let's leave it there shall we.

For the record, yes its great that this effort is being put elsewhere, but effort could and should be spread across different things.

From the Supporters Committee Meeting in February 2020. Posted as it relates directly to the issues, but it is in the public domain. With the issues surrounding covid, I have no idea of how this progressed.

JK (South Stand Rep) asked why the stadium had not been cleaned. KH (SMC Facilities Manager) said this had not happened as quickly as he would have liked and reported several companies had been in with their ideas on how to clean the seat backs and scrub the concrete areas clean. One company came in and did a trial in the South Stand which has cleaned up really well. We have pitch renovations in May which will cause a problem with dust so have booked in the clean for 18th May. EA wants it keeping clean so we will be having a steam clean and then follow up work to keep on top of it.

BA (East Stand Rep) made KH aware of leaks in the South Stand in S6 rows N and M.

Things have changed a bit since then pal, even the name of the stadium. But do keep banging the negativity drum after one of the best football games for years and the club about to announce new owners. Lets just concentrate on the bird **** instead.

It is possible to do more than one thing at a time and as this isn't the match thread I think this is the right place to discuss the condition of the stadium that a new owner would have to deal with.

I would have been over more recently, by the way, but there's a few issues in the world preventing that. Sorry if that means you don't think I have the credentials to suggest that a football stadium should be regularly cleaned and maintained.

Those who attended on Saturday should have received an email for a survey on the matchday experience.
