Apparently, and not sure how true it is, liverpool's batch of covid tests that led to the cancellation of the league cup semi final first leg game were mostly false positives.

This is why kelleher could play today.

    Arsenal fans are spitting blood.

    Lol

Apparently only trent was a real case and he will be back midweek.

Fowler would have slotted it with his first touch. More Salah, Torres or Suarez like imo

Unless you're talking purely about the finish; passed calmly into the corner :emoticon-0148-yes:

Only saw the goals. How she Gordon do rest if game? Still too early for cameos in the prem? Maybe needs a loan like Elliott last year?

The youngsters did really well. I watched a stream with no sound on and couldn't make out which of Morton or Bradley kept nutmegging their man? Some good technical players coming through, stood strong and challenged well. And what a collection of goals, every one superb in it's own way.

He's only 17 so I'd say he's still a way off a meaningful loan or challenge for a first team sub role. Cup games and bench minutes maybe for this season. Who knows next season.

Some good, some a little bit "safe" and too much of the game going the wrong way. Very left footed so once he got it on the right he turned back most of the time.

    yes too early for prem.

I'd be undecided on a loan as we would have to have a club to assure him of games, and those seem to be rare on the ground in terms of delivering on their commitments. He's very young yet and has scope to develop at kirkby before we decide he needs "toughening up" in the championship.

he only turned 17 last october so still has that kid about him. Elliott is a bit of a rooney in the woolyback look and physique at that young age.

    I thought:

Bradley did better once the confidence came with the assist. more over lapping and more involvement and willingness to try.
Morton did alight though the lad was spending most of the game not really faced the right way. He could do with some time on loan
Dixon bonner. this lad is actually 21. he looked better playing LCM and started to go forward more. is playing for a club to come in for him i guess.
woltman - this game and this season is way to early for him. he's 18 but nowhere near this level and it showed. He tired his best.

The sneior players looked like the break form training didn't help any of them. konate in particular but vvd as well.

Bradley looked good going forward from the highlights and the brief showing in previous games. Not sure defensively what’s he’s like though. Seems big lad for full back

Don't want to get into the over-hype for Gordon like, I admit, I've done for players in the past, just to see them fade (Brewster springs to mind). But - got to say this - he has that God-given trait seen in the likes of Fowler, Rush, Lineker, Solksaer, etc that he seems to have half an hour in the box to put his foot on the ball, look around and move it at will despite bodies flying about everywhere. So here's hoping. <ok>

I think he did really well for the first goal and after that really started to gain confidence. He was badly exposed at times at RB with two lads on him with no help but in the end he stuck at it. At 18 he has time on his side to develop the defending side, mostly though i think having the confidence to go and do the positive thing and take a risk is important and he gain that over the game.

the issue for me is Williams beings a HG quota bonus while this young lad cannot which is a shame.

    will he?

I thought they had to be trained up to 18 for it but that would be great.

Well he’s from NI so pretty sure that counts as HG doesn’t it? Thought was anywhere from the UK?

Tbh given he’s 18, I doubt HG factor is an issue going to be worrying about.

Kelleher Gomez TAA Jones Elliott all count now and I’m sure in a couple years will prob have a few more for it not to be an issue.

Posted the clip on the prem board, one of thier own players calling them out about it.

With what the world knows now about what actually happened its a complete disgrace to sing about the deaths of 97 people who went to see a football game and never came home. <rose>

Currently, to be classified as homegrown one must be on an English team for at least three years before the age of twenty-one

that’s taken from Wiki. So anyone at the club aged 18 or under would be HG by time reach 21

Hopefully so for the lad, I think its inevitable that the number of foreign players will be reduced so the more hg we gave of a good level the better.
