FFP was brought in for one reason...England was getting too powerful with Chelsea and City Money (As well as the regulars) and UEFA hated it so closed the shop. A proper joke.

    100%

The 'old brigade' were having their noses put out so leaned on UEFA.

Look at Real Madrid - didn't their 'local council' (or similar) fund several bits and bobs at their gaff?

Bought a training ground for hundreds of millions more than it was worth just to help them fund one of their "Galcticos" spending spree. It was basically what the SNP do for Celtic on steroids.

They won't fund Barca though as they tried for Catalan independence but Barca are corrupt/big enough to be a cracking money laundering scheme for some Middle eastern regime.

I know a lot of folk hate City but i ****ing love how they've rattled the elite that thought they were in a closed door system.

That's right - I remember the sketch now. Massively overpaid for a bit of land which had little value to any developer but, might just help Real.

I am no fan of Citeh but you are correct - totally gave the 'Old Brigade' a bloody nose and then some.

The only 'super power' in fussball who I have any real respect for is Bayern. They do things the right way.

That's just because of the system in Germany. 51% fan ownership is the way to go. German football is all about the fans. Ticket prices etc and it's because they have the power.

Would honestly take Arsenal being relegated if it meant we implemented that system. But even most of our fans are huge hypocrites and don't see we're part of the problem. Fans build a moral line to suit which conveniently always is just a bit higher than their own club. I hear our fans moan about "oil money" constantly while forgetting the word Emirates is everywhere at our club. Where do they think that money is made?

You may hate what happened to you but everything of the last decade is worth it now i'd say. You have genuine fans at the helm.

I spent quite a few years based in Germany and I loved their attitude to football. Similar to the Yanks and their 'tailgate' pre-match parties.

The reason being is they could trust their fans not to be erseholes and drink within reason and not be total cvnts unlike ours and the English.

Only game i've been to in Germany was a Union of Berlin match before they were in Bundi and it was amazing fun. Guy walking around with a keg on his back filling our beers and all their "Ultras" welcoming us with open arms. One of the best footballing days i've ever had.
