It's a ****ing joke. I literally cannot shake my fury about it! GK - average to poor; urgency 5/10 RB - ok first choice, have cover; urgency 2/10 CB - all crap; urgency 9/10 LB - don't even have one; urgency 10/10 CM - all REALLY crap; urgency 10/10 RM - passable enough; urgency 4/10 LM - well stocked; urgency 1/10 CF - not one fit player; urgency 10/10 The only signing needed less than Trippier would be a workshy left midfielder/winger, like Martial. So I fully expect him to be the next signing. Astonishing to me that an alleged Premier League manager doesn't understand games are won or lost in midfield, and that players out of position is a recipe for disaster. Yet there we are vs Cambridge with at least 6 in the wrong place, in a formation nobody has been able to confirm. In order, we needed - on day ****ing one of this window - CM, LB, CB and a CF. Absolute minimum. As of the 10th, we're now being told Cantwell - who can't get a game for the only team in the league actually ****ing WORSE than us - and Wood (31 this year, with 3 goals all season) are our options. This is a ****ing shambles. What did Emery really know about this project? And let's not pretend Trippier is a marquee signing. He's 32 this year and just landed a plum deal 100 miles from his home town.
I think for this season then one good CB signing plus Schar would be ok, but obviously two coming in would be better
I will take my losses if I loose my bets with Munson with immediate effect come 1st Feb I will however allow Ben10's bet to be done before mine in good sporting grace
Edited. I can't accept And now for the trump card.. A little earlier than I intended on playing it but it's a good one @Sucky can you just confirm I lost my avy for life in December
Schar's got 5 months left here, mate. Pinning hopes on that when he's already got an error in him is a mistake. We need two minimum.
That's fine he can sit on the bench and Roy can welch on another one saying he was still in the team to the end of the season
He's not mate, he's a better coach - there has been improvements not just in the general play but the fitness and application of certain parts of individuals games. That can't be done from a beach in Portugal.
