Out injured. I had wondered the same thing but to be fair Howe again answered everything in his presser, took responsibility and said how he was devastated for the fans. Even answered the question regarding if this meant a new striker was a priority honestly by saying yeah but we need to strengthen in a lot of areas.
I doubt Gayle refused to play? Surely not? Although he may be thinking about not getting injured if he is getting peddled. **** if he did because we've been paying the **** a fortune for 3-4 years. For whatever reason Howe has zero interest in him. That's twice he's went with a false 9 rather than play Gayle. Mad though because that is exactly the kind of level of oppo he will bag against. Disappointing but as I said yesterday before it started I really couldn't give a **** about the FA Cup this year. We now have zero distractions or excuses. Lets go try secure another year in the PL. Can't be a hypocrite now and pretend I give a **** we are out or pretend it hurt. It didn't, **** the FA Cup (until next season...)
Also the Mackem community team still regularly offer loads of free tickets at the local schools. My Son’s school in consett get offer loads but there are rarely any takers.
this window should be about loans too. I’d pay £1m loan fees to get some decent players in too, then if we drop we go buy the best championship players to get us back up.
Forgot I was a member of 606 so can post here so I may as well hoy this in here for you as Dubravka was fouled IMO which makes it more amusing being a Mackem The Cambridge player misses the ball completely and crushes Dubravka's foot when he stamps on it and the ball ends up going between Dubravka's legs. I'm surprised nobody has picked up on this as you'd think VAR would rule it a foul all day long if the ref missed it. please log in to view this image This below was just after the stamp and very similar to the Kasper Schmeichel incident in which Villa got the goal disallowed as Schmeichel got his hand on the top of the ball. There's 3 frames to focus on and you can see how Dubravka's hand is just above the ball in 1 frame. In the next it's on top of the ball and the ball flattens slightly. The frame after that the ball moves away from Dubravka. The perspective angle is a bit misleading also as the Cambridge player's foot looks closer to the ball. please log in to view this image p.s. canny thread title that's obviously come back to bite you in the arse but **** happens I suppose! See you as that's it from me
