I reckon this week will see us with new cb, new lb, new striker as a minimum.

I'm sorry like, but Chris Wood for £15m or Alvarez for £17m (release clause) ........ I know which one I'd be buying quickly and it sure as **** isn't the 1 in 4 striker

I think Cantwell would be a good squad player. Young and hungry. Gives us a few options in various areas. We need a few water carriers too. He seemed very consistent last time Norwich were up.

Trippier is a ridiculously good signing.

We now need two from Carlos, Botman, Badiashile.

We need a left back. Ideally Digne but it does seem like its gonna be tricky.

We need to sort out central midfield urgently though. Kamara would still be the one for me if its even possible. We need to toughen up in there and get someone to press the ****ing ball. I like Gini too because I think we can loan him, he knows the league, club and area. He is vastly experienced and will help us get some possession of the football.

Then we need at least one striker. We seem to have been linked with loads. Any from Nketiah, Cabral, Azmoun, Brereton, Isak, Dieng ,Aubemyang, Alvarez. Interesting that Marseille are trying to sign Bakambu which suggests Dieng will go - would Bakambu not be an option? He's on a free from China. Diego Costa on a free too. Don't want Wood.

I am not against a few experienced guys coming till the end of the season. I've got a feeling we are going to make a lot of the above happen. If we do we've got a chance.

I'm not excited about Wood coming in. He'd be better than nothing considering we have no fit strikers, but hope we could get better value for money than that - and would feel that way even without the takeover. Two or three years ago he would have been a good signing but I think he is struggling for form. He would be a short term solution and someone struggling for form isn't a great short term solution. Perhaps Howe thinks he could get more out of him with the style of play he wants to introduce, but to me it's a gamble.

Depends who we sign but at present he would. I've watched that Kamara twice for Marseille now. I can see what the fuss is about. He is very athletic, very aggressive and good with the ball. I think Gini is a great fit for us on loads of levels. Only 31.

Thing with Cantwell is he is mainly plays right midfield. We can't really rely on Fraser staying fit. ASM gets kicked loads and is a bit of a pussy. We only have Almiron as Big Joe looks settled where he is. I think Cantwell plays ahead of Fraser for all he looks a different player under Howe.

I'd take Wood for 17 mil.

We are desperate, he already knows the league, he does score some goals, it will **** Burnley up.

    Do it i say.

I agree but kamara seems unlikely right now.

I've seen Cantwell in middle and run a game it two .

One of my concerns is that he isn't doing it for Burnley this year. Give them £17M and they might find someone who does!

Agree we need someone though and if he is the only short term option I would take him over not getting anyone.

Aye loads in for him and he probably can't see much value until our fate is decided. He may just stay where he is. Also been linked with that Brazilian at Lyon Bruno Guimarães who looks very good. Again though I think these types are going to be tricky in our current situ.

A win vs Watford and being out the bottom 3 would make a few players start saying yes

He would probably stay if we did get relegated and be a beast in the championship.

I would rather have Ings mind.

I don't really want Wood. I just don't think he brings all that much and is very average. I'd prefer to take a risk on one of the other 20 odd linked...

The only slight thing I would say is Kieron Trippier should be a good supply of crosses, get Digne and you will suddenly have quality coming in from wide areas. Wood would thrive on that. Currently we have Manq, Lewis, ASM, Fraser. Only Fraser can cross a ball.
