That doesn’t contradict signing new players. That’s saying we need a clear out of all the dead wood. Names that come to mind are Jackson, Piggott, Fraser, Carroll, Nolan, Harper.

jackson and Carroll definitely, but I'd definitely keep pig fraser and Harper. Morsy is no spring chicken and Harper could learn a lot from him to take his place

Maybe but I think generally if a player can’t come in and make an impact at League One level he doesn’t have the greatest of prospects.

The other thing is if we sign a player that’s an extra mediocre player we can sell on.

Still don't rate Norwood, he is ok but he is certainly nowhere near the best in this division, let alone higher divisions. Just my personal opinion! Maybe i will change my opinion if he gets a decent run in the side but as it stands....i think we can get better!

He always scores goals when he plays for us in League One. Until we have other players that can do that I’m not bothered whether he can cut the mustard at a higher level. Cook has egg on his face for leaving him out.

Oh agreed, he is scoring a few goals so can't complain, i just don't like the guy and think he is overrated. Am happy to be proven wrong, time will tell. I will get it wrong now and then, like i got it right now and then....I'm not mentioning any names, coz if i do....i will have nightmares again!!

Oh and i still don't rate Penney, he was ok yesterday but I think he is a weak link!!

There are still plenty of weak links. I reckon Aluko would easily be closed out and frustrated by decent full backs and Donacien is doing okay but he has the turning circle of a Rolls Royce and the pace of a Hobbit.

The thing about Saturday which made me think certain players could come in a do well whether they haven't before is because we played as a cohesive unit and the positions which often looked vulnerable before such as full back and midfield didn't because on the ball players always had options to pass it to and off the ball if a player was out of position another player covered, it was seamless

I think a factor in us looking less vulnerable was the opposition. Undoubtedly everyone deserves a clean slate but we have about three weeks left of the transfer window so McKenna has to make some fast judgements.
