I'm afraid you can't just jump to a conclusion like that and again we were allowed the ball in that game This side needs more than just a striker.
Yes I've already said that. However, in yesterday's game we had the chances. A striker would have scored. We should have played Dylan Stephenson. He is a striker. He would have scored.
I don't think we created anything meaningful. Just loafs of crosses. Cambridge were comfortable. I'm sure we'll see better vs Watford even without a striker
Crossing vs league one sides was a big error. It wouldn't be different I'd we had Wilson because it was exactly what they like defending. We needed to let them play a bit, let them come onto us then boom
No joke but I’ve always thought Schar could do a job as striker, has an attacking instinct and can shoot
I agree. In fact he'd probably play better there than in a back 4. I just don't fully rate him as a defender
Schar could be a better cm than shelvey and Hayden too.. Sadly howe is going to lick lacelles and Shelvey arse and schar will be moved on
So the tactics where wrong. The manager sets the tactics. Having us cross balls into the box with no striker is akin to pure insanity. And we kept doing it to the end even though it wasn’t working…….
You know your right. Why is it that every manager seems to love these two? I can’t fathom that out. Is it because they seem the best at their craft at the club. Because they are being compared to proper crap players. Then when they come up against decent opposition they get torn apart.
That isn't how it works. There is a lot of the transfer process that cannot be done until the window opens and until the window opens there is little you can do other than sound out the selling team and player to test the willingness to sell or sign. You cannot discuss personal terms with a player until the selling club allows you to. In our situation selling clubs are going to haggle for as mush money as possible and won't just sign on the dotted line. There is a reason most January transfers happen towards the end of the window.
And you were right to be asking questions of Howe last night. I had some time to consider things and you're right
Yup. He's a goalscorer, different option to Wilson, better than Gayle and we weaken Burnley... Its a yes from me. Wonder what they're quoting...
I can and I will say this. a striker would have had tap ins today and we would have been out of sight by half time
If only Joelinton had been fit and available to play up front. Oh, wait….. Honestly I think Howes performance yesterday was down there with the very worst we’ve ever seen.
