I enjoyed Lord of War. Also it's probably the only film he's ever done that actually has a serious message and theme.
The Rock, Con Air and Face/Off are bad buoy films with Nicolas Cage. Loved the general action stuff from the late 80s/90s though. Seagal, JCVD, Sly, Arnie… legendary ****. Don’t make action moves like those guys did any more, closest ones nowadays are probably the John Wick movies, no major story, just ****ing up a bunch of fools.
Resident Evil welcome to Racoon City... 3/10 Seriously why... why did I watch it!? I knew it'd be ****.
Been going through the MI films from the reboot at Ghost Protocol then Rogue Nation. Watching Fallout now. Superb films and everything Bond should be.
Very dark ... Dafoe and Pattinson put in great acting performances ... but ... might not give you a comfortable night's sleep
There's a moment in MI Fallout where Alec Baldwin pulls a gun on someone and says "I think this one is loaded, do you want to find out?"
Just finished watching. It was like watching an arty farty play in black and white shot in 4:3. Loads of odd stuff going on, leaving it to the viewer to fill in the blanks, whatever they may be. No storyline to speak of. Not a fan of arty films, still not got to the end of The Lobster. 5/10
