Righto Boys, Paynter: I still maintain he'll be a class act one day. Whether that's at Leeds or whether he comes back to haunt us playing for someone else, only time will tell. At the moment, he has about as much chance of a starting place as I have. He also has little chance of a place on the bench given that of the 5 subs, at least 3 will be the reserve GK, a defender, & a midfielder. Of the two possible forward places, these would/could/should go to any two from Becchio, Sam, Nunez, Snoddy, McCormack, Forsell, & Keogh depending on who's fit & who's starting.

Best thing now for Paynter is to go out on loan to get game time. Don't care if he goes to a championship side or not, so long as they're below us & can't play against us. Indirectly, he might then help us in our promotion push whilst at the same time showing SG why we should keep him for next season. This worked for Lees & others. No reason why it wouldn't work out for Paynter.

As to Nunez being a show pony LIW, no problem with that so long as the tricks start coming off. In an ideal world, a show pony has its place. We have workers in the team. What we lack with Gradel having gone & Snoddy being injured were players who weren't afraid to take on their opposite numbers & put crosses in for others to finish off, or have decent shots & score themselves.

Billy Paynter has as much class as Sam Vokes!!! both **** but somehow making a living out of football.

To be a hold up striker you need to have a first touch, Paynter doesnt have a 1st 2nd or 3rd touch

As to what happens next, only time will tell LIW. But SG needs to get him out on loan. With our current strike force, no point in keeping him on the books if he's not at least going to get a place on the bench. We also have Somma to return for next season. So BP has got to get past him as well.

Whatever else happens, let's hope we re-sign Keogh in the January TW.
